I'd be shocked if Serie B doesn't count - They lined up together in recorded league games so it has to be really. Who's to say that 15 games in something shite like the League of Ireland is more valid than 15 second tier Italian games?

Good find. Should stand as well. That entire caveat should just be replaced with "15 official games in a season". Who fecking cares which competitions the teams played? 15 games indicates sufficient regularity to be a relevant member of a squad.

Give it a break. Now you are in support of changing rules at half time. Even in cups count, how will serie B become a main league?

Yes. It was the main league in which that player competed in during that season.

I think you are confusing "main" with "top flight" which is a completely different thing. Otherwise we have to start writing off entire seasons from players careers.

Fair enough. I read "main" as the main domestic league that player was competing in but if you meant top flight, that's fine too.

I've not looked into picking one of those myself, but I also understood it as the main league including lower divisions as well.

It can be a pain in the arse, I think everyone recognizes that. And for what it's worth, I'm sorry for nagging earlier on. But this is a point of principle, if you will - a general thing with these drafts: There should be an iron clad OP defining all rules and criteria.

And in this particular case the only thing which should matter is whether Player A and Player B actually played together in Season X (i.e. were regulars in the team in question). So, it really doesn't make any sense to restrict it to league appearances. Your update to the rules is a good one, in other words. It's what the OP should have stated to begin with.

That said, the OP was actually clear on the particular matter of divisions: Main league clearly refers to the top tier (examples are even provided, such as Serie A, Premier League, etc.), so Serie B appearances should have been an obvious no-go given the actual rules.

But, again, the update/change is commendable.
 
One left the club after season 1959/60, and his replacement came in the summer. They might not have played together, but now they are reunited in this draft

I can work with changing my plans as long as everyone else is ok with that. Which pick do you mean?

I do think it's a great change mate and much clearer but I'm sorry if I was badgering you. I didn't mean to be and as I said before, I'm enjoying the draft and happy to put a team together under whatever rules. I was only asking for clarification because there's been a couple of times now I've spent time researching and I've been wrong.
