Chain Draft (Main Thread)

Sorry mate, I fell asleep!

Edit: Scratch that. GS already updated it.

No problem mate.
Me too. There's a load of great early options to fill your boots but a solid route out of 70s-born players is tricky.

Really? Thought it should have been pretty doable if he picked a certain Balon d'Or winning winger next, who played alongside 2 legends of pretty huge clubs with long spanning careers. Maybe it is harder than it seems.

Rivaldo qualifies for his Milan time or not?

Not sure about that but I have a niggling feeling he did surpass the 15 games mark in his first season before a horrendous second season. I didn't even take his Milan stint into account in my initial post.

Right you are. Played something like 20 league games in his first season at Milan IIRC. Creating a chain with him is doable, just far less handy than I thought

I'm 2 picks (4th) away from this guy:

Aye. It depends how long you want to spend filling your boots with the 1970s-born stars. Seems like a missed opportunity not to get stuck in.

@Edgar Allan Pillow what are the rules for number of games in a season in the end ? stays on 15 league games? reduced on 10? extended on cup games also?

Yeah, I seriously underestimated the research this draft takes. I got a good chain, but just screwed up the order. Aaagh!
The minute you picked breitner you had one smooth sailing with a lot of nice players on one hand and the temptation of breitnigge on the other. Can't say what I would have been doing had I played but one rule of thumb for me in these sort of drafts which include sheep drafts is ignore every single temptation no matter what. You can still have rotten luck like anto had here but normally it works nice. Much rather have a nice solid team than trying to get top names initially and then getting stuck. Love the path the stain has taken for example.

Sorry chaps, I do sleep sometimes and have to get ready for work so no time to do the sort of writeup this bad boy deserves.

Facchetti will have a familiar barnstorming forward to aim for with his crosses.

Roberto Boninsegna

@mazhar13

Surprised Rivaldo had no decent links available. Also, I've only just remembered about the decades rule over these last couple of pages. Feck, feck, feck, feck, feck.

Rivaldo's links in his Barca/Milan days were perfectly good, just that I had the option to start over, so I thought I might as well do it. My plan is to work from current players towards the older generation, if I started at the middle, might makes things difficult.

anybody found decent site where we can check how many games someone played in a season?

Happy to see Ribery picked. Always felt he was slightly underrated and Robben's current success has taken some glory from Ribery.

i always rated Ribery higher so im happy that he is picked, my kind of winger i guess.....works harder then anybody, good team player, unselfish and can do things on his own
