still gets no respect
Can we sign a RB by Monday too?
Our best signing in I don't know how long, maybe Fernandes remember when he was good?
o ExorcistaCasemiro would just Disposses them anyway
Because we operate in real life and not fifa ultimate team….I hear you but why can’t we sign a 20 year old, proven world class player, and sign them quickly, for a good deal, and on low wages because they are dying to play for the badge, though?
Because FeCk Barcelona amiriteLooks like madrid are going to spend the casemiro money straight away. Rumours that neymar is going to madrid before the window shuts. Just saw the tweet on twitter, espn brazil and orstein are on it.
Was Schneiderlin the last DM we signed? Can't remember
Jesus Christ yeah… the summer he actually leavesHe actually would be the perfect player for Pogba
Makes sense considering the rift between him and Mbappe but man it's gonna be weird seeing neymar in a Madrid shirt.Looks like madrid are going to spend the casemiro money straight away. This is not planned. ETH spent all summer trying to sign FDJ. Now we're signing a completely different profile in Casemiro. I wanted both a sitter and controller, but ETH seemed adamant in signing a controller. Hopefully he can still make this work, but I disagree that this is planned. Some of my best exams were done in a fit of panic.
Although looking at it from a squad perspective, it looks more planned than De Jong.
Having Bruno and Eriksen, who would make more sense - Casemiro or De Jong?
Among our midfielders, we have playmaking capacities (Eriksen, Bruno), Box-to-box players (Fred, McTominay), attacking facilitators (VdB), but not one who can take defensive responibility in a reliable way. Based on what we have and what we lack, this looks more like a profile analytics based signing than De Jong or Rabiot would.
Uh, hello? Does “Ronaldo to Valencia” ring any bells?McTominay to Casemiro is literally the biggest upgrade I have ever seen. No exaggeration. I challenge anyone to think of a better replacement in a top team's starting line-up.
He sticks up for his teammates?
I think we'll see Eriksen and Casemiro as a midfield 2 a lot, a destroyer and a dictator. Fred as a third choice is a lot better than a starting player in my opinion. He's a completely different player to De Jong who was Ten hag's number one target, surely we still need someone who can dictate the game? Am I missing something?
His role at Madrid seems to be that of a Ball winner / destroyer. He immediately finds one of Kroos or Modric or anyone else in midfield after he wins the ball back. He doesnt really carry the ball forward or dictate play which would mean we need someone of that calibre beside him. Would that be eriksen ? Bruno ? VdB ? fred ?.
Imagine him winning the ball back after battling 3 players only to see Mc/Fred misplace a 5 yard pass and start a counter attack
Maybe Casemiro can guide Fred, like with the NT. I would not write him off completely yet, as he can be a bit more attacking now and not play the holding role.
Real are like engineers or architects. Arrogant as feck but they're intelligent and no nonsense. They know what they want and they know the most practical way to get it. They build cities.Has to be said, Madrid are not a bad club to do business with. Not much messing around with them.
Oh snap forgot maticMatic was after Schneiderlin, Fred after Matic (if you count Fred as a DM).
I presume this will get done before monday to try and take some momentum out of protests. Not enough imo and the kind of offer thats being talked about sounds irresponsible
Tier 2:
Key part translated:
I get the concerns about signing a 30 year old, and to some degree I share them. I thought the plan was to build a team in Ten Hag's image, and that seemed like something that might be done with younger players. But ultimately after the appalling first two games, and with the poor quality of the midfield, I find it hard to argue against a guy that's heralded as amongst the best in what he does. But then that's what I thought we were getting with Varane as well.
Time will tell, but the Utd midfield is so poor, I can't see how this can be anything other than an improvement.

If we were signing both, that would be pretty unreal.
Fred looks half decent in that more advance role. He has the lungs to run for days and a pretty decent short passing game. He also never goes into hiding like Pogba. I had all but given up on him playing in that position but that’s where he will excel the most with us I believe. We went from trying to unlock Pogba to unlocking Fred
We went from trying to unlock Pogba to unlocking Fred
Ok, not sure what Ronaldo has to do with it, he's 38, Casemiro is 30 and literally the best in the world in his position. When was the last time we had that?
Also DM's regularly play til their late 30's, Fernandinho is an example. He's never been a player who's relied on pace, and his positioning/reading of the game is second to none. he's a player more than capable of giving us 4/5 too class years.
It's best just to walk around with it hanging out all the time. He’s only signing for us because he wants as much practice starting next to Fred as possible to win Brazil the World Cup in December.
On a positive note are we allowed to unzip yet?
