Casemiro, Fred, Eriksen is an interesting midfield - for about 18 months. Then all 3 are over 30 and we’ll be in this exact spot all over again. Look at Fernandinho, the position is played mostly in the head and Casemiro is a very intelligent player.
Also think of it as accepting a price for him and amortising that over 5 years rather than the 3 you expect him to be at his peak.

Honestly the more I think about it, the more this makes sense. Casemiro, CE and Bruno against smaller teams. Casemiro, Fred and CE against the bigger teams (bruno off the left). It could actually work really well and at least for a little bit paper over the need for a DLP.

He's pretty much the opposite of De Jong, who was allegedly ETH dream signing. If United sign him, you can kiss goodbye to your coach as well because it clearly wont suit what he wants to set up.

I may be dreaming but if we can get him for 60 million euros or less considering his age and contract that would be a great deal. But we need to be realistic and buy him a competent midfield partner. Playing him with Fred or McTominay would be criminal
