FAO Frenkie acolytes: this is what a transfer looks like when the player isn't totally repulsed at the idea of joining the club.
 
When the first links were reported I thought this was absolute BS, so it's surreal to see this one happen. An actual world class DM is being signed. Over the moon with this transfer.
 
Eventually one of United’s best and definitely most needed transfer ever :)

Suddenly we have both him and FDJ in our squad and have solved our midfield problem. Attack and defence next!

This is awful journalism.

The journalists asks if Casemiro has told Ancelotti why would he go from a team that has just won the Champions and the Super Cup to a struggling side.

Carlo answers: "I can't answer this question because Casemiro may have personal motives to look for new challenges. He's the one who should do the explaining".

I can't post Youtube videos, but if you look for today's press conference in Youtube, it's about 13 minutes into it.

Exactly. These type of accounts rely on clicks and what better way than posting negative things about United to get more clicks. I for one am happy with this signing. Excited to see us play again.

I agree with you that, captaincy aside, you look at starting 11 against Brentford and there is NOBODY there that you would say is 100% worth starting every game, aside from people we signed this summer.

How insane is that? Literally everybody who wasn't just signed - you would want yo bench if we had other decent players: Maguire, Bruno, Rashford, Sancho, Fred, Dalot, De Gea - none of them are clear starters unless you are desperate and have no alternatives.

Neither are any of those, yet at least.

Aside from that, Casemiro is obviously a very good to excellent player for Madrid, but we will need to put someone with him for him to lay the ball off to, otherwise we genuinely will just end up with him running round like a headless chicken ball chasing because we’re hopeless on the ball. I’m hoping somebody is coming in to do that role, obviously Frenkie is the ideal one but who’s to say what’s going on there at this point. Maybe the plan is Eriksen, albeit I’ve never seen anything that convinced me he’s suited to that deeper role, and that’s before the Brentford horror show. It wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong mind.

I’m holding off on getting overly excited about this, there’s obviously big positives but it does little to change the biggest flaw we currently have as I see it, that we’re awful in possession of a football.

Watch the narrative start to change around Casemiro now. Without even kicking a ball for you lot he'll go from the undisputed world's best DM to overrated, over the hill etc. Always happens when players leave Barca/Madrid, and the opposite when they join them.

I think that we all did. Casemiro was never a player that I thought would be available anytime soon.

i’m fed up of people jumping to conclusions, just so they can have reason to bash us. casemiro is actually being made to cycle to manchester from madrid as his medical. if he doesn’t make it by the liverpool game then the deal’s off.
