Casemiro | United Player

This still doesn't feel real to me.
How do you go from haggling with Rabiots mum for a week to wrapping up Casemiro in like 48 hours? None of it makes sense but I'm not complaining. We have a top 2 DM in world football and we aren't getting pushed over again in midfield, this is transformative.

We must have got offered Casemiro late doors, as surely you'd start with him which would set off a hell of a window.

Not be 2 games in and have only signed a freebie, a reserve left back and a 60m slow short centre back.

A DM finally! Damn he can't play pool. Should have signed so much earlier.

McFred will get one last run out together. It'll be like their testimonial. Like the last few Spice Girls concerts before they called it a day. The end of the Backstreet Boys.

You aaaaare, my fiiiire.

How in the hell have we managed this, honestly :wenger:
Timing and a bit of a bump up in salary. Won all there is to win at Madrid and they just splashed big on Tchouameni.

Sort of works for them (even if they preferred keeping him) in refreshing the squad whilst still retaining some experience in Modric, Kroos, Benzema etc.

This is just nonsense. Our midfield cant do anything. He fills an urgent gap as the 6 and is one of the best in the business at it.

Just because we don't have a ball progresser yet why should it stop us from fixing our DM issue that has plagued us for years? Or are they saying we are not allowed to fix more than one issue at once??

Casemiro is a upgrade on McTominay and replaces Matic. When the times comes we will also buy a ball progressor.. why does it matter which one we get first?
Exactly. We need stability in the middle. We have enough attack minded players to cope until we get a ball progressor imho.

Casemiro will be massive in protecting the back 4 when there are transitions. Our defence is hilariously exposed by the midfield when they all go out of shape, and he will go a long way in fixing that.

Though her points are somewhere correct, we still need better players on the ball to avoid them in the first place. Lots of turnovers from our RB and midfield in the first two games of the season. Neither of Eriksen, Fred or Bruno are metronomic passers, Dalot loses confidence sharp-ish. We will need a further upgrade or two around him.

Everyone has different opinions. Me personally, can't understand someone who has seen United the past 5 years and not seen the gaping hole in our midfield when it comes to being a DM, plugging holes, winning the ball back, etc. There are other issues, but lacking this has made us prone to being an embarassing club at times. There was no plan on how we would win the ball back in midfield and we were so exposed.

Don’t sign a DM cause you don’t have a DLP

Don’t sign a DLP cause you don’t have a DM

Don’t sign anyone. Just keep Mctominay.

That's exactly what rival fans and journalists want. Casemiro may or may not work out, but it is clear that they are rattled.

So it's going to damage La Liga (how!?) and at the same time, Man Utd won't be getting who they think they're getting (whatever that means)
Because there’s a talent drain from Spain these days. Back in the good old days Barca and Madrid signed all the names and the EPL signed the next up and comers with all the economic risks that brought.
It worked. Now Barca are in trouble and it’s Madrid signing the highly rated youngsters. People pretend that’s great business but it resembles feeder clubs like Ajax and the cycles are more vicious.

Slightly annoying this one wasn't completed before the registration deadline for the Liverpool game. I would've loved to watch him smash into some of their cnuts again.

So guys when do you think we'll get the announcement from the club, with the whole pending medical etc

Graham Hunters meltdown is brilliant, i assume he's wearing shades to over up his ever so salty tears.

I'd say that more if it was FDJ coming with a lot more of his prime years in front of him. With Casemiro, his trajectory is only downwards and it could happen fairly soon

These twitter football stats people are getting on my nerves. I don't know if it's only this summer or if I only realized it but they are incredibly blinkered, United need both a destroyer and a ball mover unless we get both at the same second, we will have to get one before the other. Also there is a huge value in putting yourself in a situation where you get possession back relatively high and often, moving the ball from deep is important but it's not the only thing that we need to improve on and there is also more ways to do it than having De Jong, most teams don't have De Jong or someone like him.

We finally have a warrior on the pitch. The one moment from last season that annoyed me more than any score line was in the game against Liverpool when Ronaldo had that scuffle with Curtis Jones and half the Liverpool team were in and against Ronaldo within seconds whilst not a single United player bar Fred came to Ronaldo’s aid.

Casemiro has always had his team mates back in games. He also has mastered the dark arts of football, and I look forward to him pissing off rival fans.

I like Carlo so not bothered by him getting a little dig in. He's clearly not happy.
Stopped Liverpool last season, so I'm all good with him irrespective of any digs he gets in

Same. Calling us a struggling side isn't the most disrespectful thing he could've said about us anyways.

McTominay -> Casemiro, name a better upgrade a team has done, ever. Can't think of one. Maybe whoever Napoli replaced with Maradona

I can't be fecked with negativity today. We are signing an actual great midfielder. Can't believe it. I'm shook, Cafe.

Because I can't help it, I'm wikipediaring the Real squad to make sure we haven't signed another player with a similar sounding name. Frustratingly, it doesn't include admin, groundskeepers, physio staff. I've got images of a 60-year-old groundsman turning up, begging to be sent home back to his wife. Or maybe not.

In the eyes of such poeple. United can never do anything to fix the multiple problems that they have. Because if United Start fixing their issues one by one, they wouldn't have any content to tweet on or troll United. They want a ball progressor, DM destroyer, skillfull winger, monstrous FB, Master CB all rolled into one player.

Casemiro isn’t 50 though. If anything it’s steady works class performances for 2/3 years yet.
Now they’re relying on a kid with so much pressure on his shoulders it’s ridiculous. They can’t take him in and out like Camavinga last year
