Is this the least amount a player has done wrong to get 7 games?
2nd red card of the seasonWhy's he out for 4 games and not 3?
The problem is once the ref has seen it and made the decision to give a yellow I don't understand what VAR could of seen that he didn't to make him overturn it. Remember they say VAR isn't supposed to re-referee games it's for when the ref has missed something clear and obviousProbably a Red Card. Wouldn't have been surprised with it not being awarded, but can't really overly complain that it was.
It isn't similar at all. You're just a feelings kind of guy, and you've decided to hate Casemiro. It’s similar to the Schweinsteiger situation. At first, you couldn’t criticise him with the whole “BFS” stuff, but it was obvious he was bad.
It’s obvious Casemiro is bad but he still has that reputation that prevents any criticism.
I know it’s slightly different but Rio Ferdinand got an 8 month ban for missing a drugs test despite the fact he took it later at the time and passed it. Also missed Euro 2004 due to the ban.Is this the least amount a player has done wrong to get 7 games?
You really are desperate to die on this hill aren’t you. It’s similar to the Schweinsteiger situation. At first, you couldn’t criticise him with the whole “BFS” stuff, but it was obvious he was bad.

The rest of the footballing world is talking of him being in contention for player of the season and you have still convinced yourself he’s a bad player.
The difference between Schwein and Casemiro is Schwein was shit for us. Casemiro is our best player. Not similar at all.
Casemiro has been great so far, he just has to realise that you can't go into challenges with your studs showing....some may get away with it but anyone is taking a big risk doing it.
I think he's completely focused on his passing, and any bad passing completion rates are what determine whether he is a good or bad midfielder. Which could be understandable if he was like many of our other midfielders who didn't excel at anything else. The obvious reason why others disagree with him is because we don't ignore his quality to break up play, his positioning to help our defense out, and I would say his awareness+ability to do 1 touch passing is crucial at times. Yeah he doesn't always pull it off, but he's also crucial to some of our attacks. It's not a given that a defensive midfielder does this. You really are desperate to die on this hill aren’t you.

True. Hopefully he cuts it out next season when we're a more stable team. We're gonna need him, can't be having him miss 6-7 games due to suspension.
We need to find a backup who has his positional sense and ability to sense danger

I suppose there could be some truth in us being after Rice as they could play together and if one needs resting we still have defensive stability.Definitely.
I love McTominay, but unfortunately he's not it.
Ideally I'd move McTominay on in the summer for some good money and sign a young hungry backup with potential to shadow Casemiro/fill in when injured/suspended.

About 2 minutes before he made that challenge, he went sliding in on someone else and completely missed the ball and the player. In exactly the same spot. He was being reckless, and someone needed to have a word with him. Martinez got booked in the first few minutes and played the entire game without going to ground, he stood up and played football, rather brilliantly. I actually thought he would be the one getting sent off.
These are my thoughts. Not sure it was a red card but there’s always a chance if you leap in like that. Could’ve really hurt the player even if he won the ball.Red card or not, it was a silly, naive tackle from a very experience player, he should know better.
8 games he will have missed through suspensions this season, that's unacceptable.
Annoying thing is you'd think he's far too clever and experienced to go into a tackle with the studs showing. Asking for it.
It was a well-calculated risk
Like the last red, despite feeling hard done by and similar incidents affecting us in other games this season without equal punishment, I'm sure someone will be telling EtH today that an appeal will only lead to the ban being upheld or even extended. Are we appealing the red?
Definitely agree with this. It's amazing that when other teams get great players they are lauded and revered and the Premier league can't get enough of them. Our great players are there to be ridiculed and targeted and I'm sure some high ups are extremely disappointed that Cas has been so great as I expect they were hoping for a Basti or Falcao signing to crash and burn.
