I really think there should be a disctinction between "honest play for the ball" and reckless challenge. At this rate you are just awarding red cards for being unlucky.
It’s similar to the Schweinsteiger situation. At first, you couldn’t criticise him with the whole “BFS” stuff, but it was obvious he was bad.
It’s obvious Casemiro is bad but he still has that reputation that prevents any criticism.
Poor man clearly has a posting limit that only increases, if Casemiro has a bad game.If @Yagami answers this, I will be surprised
How can you expect to see that you slip off the ball and slightly touch the other player? The odds of that happening were like 1 of a billion or more. Its not a well calculated risk when you end up with a completely pointless red card. We know referees are shit. We know that they can watch the same tackle twice in the same game and give one a red and the other nothing. As soon as you give them a decision on a red you have made a poorly calculated risk unless your action prevented a goal.
We got utterly shafted Yesterday by the ref and VAR but the Casemiro red was the least egregious of those mistakes. The issue is not so much that he was given a red for that, I personally think it was a silly challenge and bad luck played its part but those are often given. The issue is that every weekend there are a dozen challenges as bad as that which don't receive a red.

According to the letter of the law, yesAh, right. Because that's a straight red every time.
Eh? The odds of Casemiro's foot making contact with the opposition player were a billion to one??? I'm not entirely convinced you understand odds. How can you expect to see that you slip off the ball and slightly touch the other player? The odds of that happening were like 1 of a billion or more.

The key bit is he jumped into the tackle, left the groundEven this isn't true. You take the ball clearly with studs and don't make the contact and you will get a yellow at worst with referees having to take everything into context (force, recklessness and so on...). If we are looking strictly at the rules considering that Casemiro made the unfortunate contact, yeah, you can give a red for that, but it's still an extremely harsh decision which goes mostly unpunished even in much worse scenarios where there is a clear red. Personally, for me it is an absolute bs decision and I would never claim the red if the foot was on other side in a similar context.
It is what it is.
I think Casemiro is one yellow away from missing an EL game. Will the cards be nullified at some point or is it inevitable that he will miss a game before the final if we make it that far ?
He needs help. Modric & Kroos did a lot of work too to make the midfield functional in all phases of the game. We need a midfielder that'll help in the first phase of build up and hopefully allow us to impose a bit of control.

But he didn't. Do we play the game based on what ifs? Did you see when we won 4-2 at the Nou Camp, I mean, we didn't, but we could have easily scored 2 more goals. How about we judge based on what actually happens, versus a bunch of hypotheticals, because they don't mean shit. These are my thoughts. Not sure it was a red card but there’s always a chance if you leap in like that. Could’ve really hurt the player even if he won the ball.
Don't be silly. His point was it was a reckless challenge. That stands regardless of the outcome. But he didn't. Do we play the game based on what ifs? Trying to wrap my head around some of the comments in here. This was a ridiculous decision. Taylor was right there and gave a yellow, asshat in the VAR room slowed the game down by 1000x times, zoomed in on a couple studs and sent that over to Taylor to skew his opinion. He got the ball, the player wasn't hurt, the player didn't complain, even seemed sympathetic Case was sent off. The league has it in for us, clear as day, and this was a shit decision, most likely down on purpose by a ref that has a record of fecking us.I'm trying to understand the view of those that say Casemiro's red card is his fault.
As manager, I wouldn't dare fine him for indiscipline or berate him because it would be very unfair and provoke a strong negative reaction from the player and dressing room. Instead I'd 100% create a siege mentality.
Maybe I'm used to football before the 2010s and avoid over-scrutinising still frames /slow motion replays but I still think that it's such a ridiculous view if you think he deserves to be red-carded. If the Premier League refs today still do not penalise those challenges as red cards or even fouls, then they aren't.
Casemiro was clearly aiming at the ball ahead of the opponent's legs and got to the ball before his foot rolled upwards and made contact with the player.
End of the day, in the modern game, you don't jump off the floor and go in with 2 feet. You can win the ball yeah, but it generally results in a pretty nasty tackle after. But he didn't. One foot raised off the ground with studs showing is always going to give the ref a decision to make. Whether they get it right or wrong is a lottery. He didn’t go in with two feet though. His other foot was under his arse.
He is the only player who really hits a tackle... Fred occasionally... McT ???
Need Sabitzer to get firing. Just highlights the lack of quality alongside him. Note his work since Eriksen being injured. We really miss Eriksen.
A big blow for us this one.
His mum taught him to jump into tackles, apparently
Not a very good reading.
At least the Europa games & Carabao final which he played, heals some wounds but this is a grim reading in the league at a personal level.
Your post is a parody. All of your posts are. It’s similar to the Schweinsteiger situation. At first, you couldn’t criticise him with the whole “BFS” stuff, but it was obvious he was bad.

What do you mean? What's this about, how could have been suspended in most of last 10 games?
Something wrong with this.
Ah sorry, misunderstood. What do you mean?
In the last 10 league games Casemiro has/will only played 3 games. And has been/will be suspended for 7 games
Of those 3 games.
Crystal Palace win.
Liverpool thrashing.
Soton draw.
Are the only games he has played. Not a very good return in the 10 game period. But at least Europa and Carabao cup games he played in them in perfect ways.
Is he a self hating United fan or an oppo fan?Your post is a parody. All of your posts are.
