I believe this situation is different due to selling to Chelsea, they want Sancho and a player out. Carney seems the best option.
Would love to exchange Sancho for him. Far more than Sterling.

Interesting that we are linked with another CM. Just finished listening to last week's podcast between Ornstein and Castles. Ornstein said we plan to target De Jong and Ederson (Atlanta) next summer. So I presume we will see more changes to our central midfield in the next 12 months.
Chelsea had Chilly, Con(or), and Carney in their squad and I have just noticed it now.

Well for a start, you’d want Eriksen/Casemeio gone leaving us Kobbie/Urgate as the only players who can competently play as the central midfielders.
I’d say we’re pretty short at the moment because I’m not convinced Eriksen can do more than sub appearances and Mount is permanently injured.

I can't remember ever having watched him play. I do recall one of my Villa supporting mates being pissed off when he left them though. He was very highly thought of back then.
Is he the same profile as the youngster we just signed Sekou Kone. If so may as well use him instead
He was very highly rated as a youth player, but I doubt he played 1000 minutes in senior football since he broke out 3 years ago, so of course the highlights will be underwhelming.
Obviously a 17 year old taking a few years to get used to senior football level isn't that unusual and doesn't mean that he won't make it, but him barely playing in last 2-3 years is very much a bad thing.

Suggested him the other day. Think he's a massive talent, and Chelsea is daft selling him. He's been good for them when fit.
