In the 2 years he’s been at Chelsea, I’d say he’s been fit and available in less than 40% of our games. If he can get over his injury issues though, he’s a brilliant talent.

Well Berge is already playing for Fulham and I think he was a back up for Ugarte. I believe this deal is only on the table because Chelsea want Sancho. So I think it's him or nothing. Outside chance of Rabiot I guess.
 
Much better than the links with Chilwell and Sterling. Looked a good prospect, but the injuries are worrying.
 
Google has him down as an attacking midfielder or left winger, is that accurate? Not exactly what we need.

Really we need competition for Mainoo's role, so we don't have to use Eriksen in any meaningful game.

I don’t think they’re that similar at all. Chukwuemeka is a straight up attacking midfielder, either 10 or advanced 8.

Yea, from what I have seen of him (albeit limited) he doesn't seem a similar profile to Mainoo at all. Looks like he should be used higher up the pitch. Looks a good player though, is there still hope he can break through at Chelsea or have injuries knocked him way down the pecking order now?

Exactly what I'm trying to convey. Club doesn't have exactly much time to play guessing game with fans and themselves. Clarified team is needed, after McTom and Mejbri gone, too.

Was hoping this was one we might do with the remainder of the Olise money but seems he’ll be going on to bigger things. Playing time should be his priority.

My point is, I don't think they are actively looking for a CM. This is convenient to get rid of Sancho though.
 
He wants minutes? That’s an easy sell. Him and Mainoo will get equal playing time providing he’s worthy of the shirt.

I don't care at this point as long as we get rid of Sancho.

We do need midfield depth but on the right wages, the right profile and the right fee.

Yup. Getting rid of Sancho, plus getting promising midfielder on top of that. Honestly, not too shabby for a late deal.

If Sancho stays, it's bad for us and Sancho. Hopefully negotiating team will figure this one out.

When he was at Aston Villa he was described as a perfect 8. He’s nothing like Bruno Fernandes, more Paul Pogba.
 
Good young player with potential, as long as he's not too costly, lets go for it. Although every time i see his name, in my head i pronounce is Chewbaka

It’s hard to say. I think untimely injuries have completely fecked any momentum he built. It looked like he had become a starter for Poch early on but just as he was beginning to show his talent he gets injured, out 6 months. In preseason Maresca played him in 1 game and we haven’t seen him anywhere near the team since.
 
thats more like it, i was surprised until now that Ashworth and co were not looking for one of Chelsea's bazillion youngsters rather than messing about with Sterling. Trevor Chabaloah is another lad i though could be useful for us and they want rid of him.

No idea.

I personally think he’s an excellent talent but also terribly injury prone. It’s hard to say if he’d be a good signing because it hinges on his ability to stay fit. Something he failed to do at Chelsea.
 
Just checked his injury record and he had a shocker last year the poor lad. I don’t think a move to us is the right one given his situation.

Pair his injuries with his silly wages, I think this is a hard pass for me.

Name me a time we’ve signed a player we have never been previously linked to in the final 6 hours of a window. Fabio Coentrao doesn’t count.
 
Can’t see it happening but he would be a decent option as a loan with an option to buy for reasonable price. Lots of talent but also lots of injuries but looks like Sancho is the boy going to go on loan so we should try and get something else out of the deal.
