Bundesliga 2017/18

Schürrle with his first good bit of play in... months? years? Dortmund 3-2

2-3. Good play from Sancho to initiate the counterattack.

Almost the equalizer again. Sokratis takes a bullet to the head to prevent it.

Dortmund looked like conceding every moment of added time. Lucky to get away with all the points.

Obviously Schürrle is still Schürrle and has a terrible touch at times, but I think he is getting too much heat because of the world cup and the fee Dortmund paid for him.
He did well in a Großkreutz kind of way and was already okay against Hertha. Always running, giving Dortmund some directness that the kids upfront still lack.

Yeah, it's not that he is bad, but he has to be one of the most frustrating players. The occasional moment of sheer genius, able to decide matches with one ball, then again ages of mediocrity.
I agree. He was not "awful" though.
Wasn't me who called him that. I didn't watch enough of the game to be able to tell. ;)

Chelsea in disarrary, desperately trying to get a big lump striker and they settle for a loan for Batshuayi with no buy option. Chelsea will have quoted them a number, so why not simply add that as a buy-option. He does well, you buy. He does not, you leave it alone. Now it´s just a win-win for Chelsea. Dortmund are such amateurs.

You mean Dortmund, right?

Batshuayi should leave permanently, he wont get regular game time at Chelsea. They will always look for a star striker or a better name. Plenty of good clubs would take him

I wonder if guys like you ever stop to actually think about what you are writing - just for a minute - before you accuse executives of being utter morons. Why wouldn't take Dortmund's (or any club's) management take a "free" buy option if it was on the table? There is absolutely no logical reason for it, so chances are things weren't that simple.

Well duh. I thought you could figure out the part, where Dortmund demand the option, or walk away from the deal on your own. But given Dortmund´s obvious lack of top end ambition becoming a schooling club for Chelsea seems the logical next step.

Dortmund needed a fast solution. They must reach the Champions League and lost their striker. They had the chance to get a good striker for a short time. Makes absolutley sense. They will buy one in the summer window and maybe even Batshuayi.

The matches without striker did not function lately. And they did not have a striker solution. And the fight for the Champions League seems to be tight with a lot of clubs this season.

Sorry i dont really understand what you write. Matches without striker didnt function? What matches without striker? I don't get it. And of course they have a striker solution for the rest of the season. They needed one, they got one, for the short term. They will (and have to) invest in the summer. And yes, the fight for CL places is tight, I didn't say otherwise.

I did not quote you to correct you but to add to your post. And I should have said centre forward or better Aubamayang instead of striker as others played instead in that role in this matches - but the matches without Auba weren't successful. Dortmund was in a very desperate situation as the situation around Aubameyang wasn't manageable anymore.

Batshuayi probably matches better to Dortmund than Giroud would have - Giroud is too easy to spell... :D If he drives his car without driving license he would be the perfect match...

Dortmund: buy option or no deal
Chelsea: ok, then he goes to Sevilla as originally intended
Dortmund: ok, we wanted to finish the season with Isak anyway

Is that your train of throught? Sometimes calling other people morons tells more about yourself than about them.

With his opening draw for Stuttgart Korkut now has a perfect 1 point per game score in his last three seasons (41 matches). If Stuttgart get relegated they only have themselves to blame.

For the ones that speak German - but it is probably better if you do not understand spanish...

The topic... Tayfun Korkut...
