Bundesliga 2017/18

The first few weeks I thought this season could be interesting again with Bayern struggling and Dortmund, Leipzig and Hoffenheim all seemingly in great form but then Dortmund turned to shit and Bayern seems to have taken a turn for the better under Heynckes.

I still give RBL a tiny chance of challenging for the title this season but in the end I don't think they have the required squad depth to keep up with Bayern.

It's pretty stunning. Not only their managers seem to have reached a new low, no their national team as well. They are a small country but always had excellent players and some really good managers as well but now it seems they have gone to complete shit.

Honestly, I think the money in the system just finally killed them.

What happened to Dahoud? He was promising at Gladbach and is now hardly getting any minutes.
Is BVB getting called out for it (other clubs would) or has he regressed?

Moments before the first goal...

Their league was always dead and they never had outstanding coaches, they just have a golden generation like some countries have from time to time (Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Bulgaria etc.). Happens. Not comparable to what the Netherlands archieved for decades.

Belgium clubs have also done much better in UEFA coefficients recently even when factoring in Ajax's Europa league final appearance. Right now in Holland almost everyone plays 4-3-3, everyone tries a slow possession game and there is not really a lot of pressing. They are arguably the most innovative country in Football but, they are sort of stuck in the past right now.

Bartra played the ball so hard, that even for where Bürki was orginially positioned all he could have done was a reactionary boot to the stands, but that Bürki storms at him like a madman is just crazy.

See it looks like things are back to normal in the one team league, does it look like Jupp has ushered in changes that will lead to Bayern challenging for the CL?

Bundesliga is really boring at the moment, something has to change.

Frankfurt(!) third at the moment, at the end of the season the will Europa League and struggle again. That's why i love Premier League and Serie A. Of course City have a good run at the moment but it's not every season like that. Spain has at least 3 good teams too.

Tl,dr of your argument: Bundesliga is boring because a surprise team is third.

No, nobody can challenge Bayern because the other clubs aren't good enough. It's nowhere to close, there isn't a challenge. Dortmund destroyed themselves by sacking Tuchel and Leipzig will need years.

You mean the Serie A where Juventus has wrapped up 6 consecutive titles and that Spanish League where to clubs have won all titles since 2004 bar one?

Dortmund are actually trailing their previous season's tally at this point by 1 point. You know, despite losing Tuchel and Dembele and despite Aubameyang acting like a twat.
I'm not saying this to praise Bosz, but rather because of these myths about Tuchel who despite all his tactical brilliance didn't really deliver last season in the league.

What a comical but great save by Hitz! Header by Vidal to the crossbar and Hitz somehow manages to pat the ball away from the line in mid-air while falling and then buries it.
