Bundesliga 2016/17

At the end we have to be lucky to not lose against this anti football team...

Sloppy game all around.

So are Leverkusen Gladbach Schalke and Wolfsburg now all battling relegation? :D That 16th place could fall to anyone currently. Crazy!

It could, but Augsburg and us are looking the worst of the lot at the moment. Really need the win in Ingolstadt tomorrow.

Absolutely speechless at the inept performance of EF today ....

Sweet Jebus - Kovac is having a season of two halves.

Before Xmas. Phenomenal.
In the running for a CL spot, which was a quite unbelievable achievement considering Frankfurt could be in BL2 this season. Great results and, more importantly, great performances made it feel as if a new dawn was breaking.

After Xmas. A complete disaster.
Kovac has been unlucky. Huge number of injuries to key players with suspensions have made life much tougher along the main.

February and March have been absolutely terrible with results so bad that Kovac would be facing the sack if he hadn't earned so much capital from early season.

Kovac himself has made one key decision this year - to phase out the legend that is Alex Meier. On its own, this can be perfectly justified given that Meier is 34 and nearing the end of his career. However he has done this by bringing in players who are no where near Meiers ability in terms of goal poaching. Players like Rebic & Hrgota are just not up to the job. This has left Eintracht exposed.

Watched the second half and I thought you weren't bad at all. Better team, better possession, plenty chances to score, penalty miss.

In at least one of Pep's seasons, we were actually worst out of the top3/top4-exclusive table, but dropping points against the top teams was always outweighed by simply winning the games against the cannonfodder sides nearly without exception.

Gues it was the second one, 14/15. Away defeats at Gladbach, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, only 2 draws against Schalke, another draw against Gladbach. We won both games against BVB but they were nowhere near top3/top4 that season :D

Dortmund need to watch out or else they'll have to play CL-qualifiers rather than directly entering the group stage.

Wouldn't be bad for the Bundesliga if it happened. Dortmund should easily go through the CL qualifiers considering their UEFA club coefficient. They'll get an easy draw and are experienced enough to beat one of the weaker opponents without much problems. Both Hoffenheim and Leipzig on the other hand will struggle to go through to the group stages if they finish 4th. They've never played in any UEFA competition, so they lack the necessary experience and also will get one of the tough opponents in the draw because of it. Something like Leipzig 2nd, Hoffenheim 3rd and Dortmund 4th would really help Leipzig and Hoffenheim to attract good players to improve the team because of guarenteed CL football next season.

Oh, the Ex-Salzburg-Players of Leipzig have a lot experience with CL-qualifiers...:D

Thiago is turning into xavi, iniesta and vidal all rolled into one. FFS what a player

In other news, i am now very scared of you guys

Oh good, so it's ok we're scared of you, too. It's always the same RMvFCB is going to be 50/50.

Just to add, even just 10 years ago, this was considered to be one of Bayern's weakness. Losing points in games they should clearly win on paper. Unthinkable in these days. I remember being more nervous of Bayern meeting 3rd league teams in the cup than Real in the CL.

There is still only 8 points between Europe and relegation playoffs. 6 teams within 3 points from rank 16... - 9 within 6 points...

I think it's admirable that Bayern wants to save Brandt from playing in the second division.

I wonder if United can Nab-y Keita from Leipzig in the summer. Would be a good addition to the squad.

Just looked up the Bundesliga league table. Lol Hoffenheim is literally the German version of us.

Read an interview with his father today who told that there was nothing up cooking right now. That they had a couple of different offers but will talk with Leverkusen at the end of the season about the future.

Hey, they actually play a very modern and nice to look at football!

The transformation is really remarkable and no wonder everybody is drooling over their coach.
