Bundesliga 2016/17

on that topic:
I've read recently that tests with "video assistant refs" were conducted with good results, how soon that's going to be implemented though.
I thought it's coming for next season in the Bundesliga?

Hamburg are successfully annihilating their goal difference. Before kickoff today it was:
Wolfsburg -13
Hamburg -16
Ingolstadt -13

Now Hamburg is sitting on -23, they aren't just getting nothing from this match, they are even losing a point

That being said, if Ingolstadt manage to beat Gladbach tomorrow the latter might e sucked back into the relegation battle, Schalke aswell should they lose to Hoffenheim. Not that I think any of them are likely to go down, but Stuttgart had 28 points after 22 matches last season (compared to Gladbach and Schalke's 26 out of 21).

I know Bayern are very good and they can batter any team on their day but what is going on with Hamburg?

Their recent run away to Bayern is fecking absurd.

Hamburg are shit. But there is no excuse to get beaten that badly year after year. There are shitter teams every year (granted, not many of them) and they don't loose that high that often. How does that always happen?

Disappointed Lewandowski only scored three. I need him to become top scorer ahead of the young Obama.

I just heard, that Hamburg have conceded 44 in the last seven matches away to Bayern. Is that true? Maybe someone knows. I am too lazy to look it up.

It's probably the same reason why they keep battling relegation for years now, despite spending a lot and not having a terrible team on paper. Something must be wrong within the team, maybe too many mercenaries who don't care.

what a spanking, you woulda thought they were in a dungeon with whips and leather bodysuits

Sounds about right. The last 7 seasons, we beat them at home 6-0, 5-0, 9-2, 3-1, 8-0, 5-0 and now 8-0 :D

It's true, more than 6 goals on average conceded:lol:

Leverkusen are something else. very few clubs are as pointless as they are.

When 3-1 looks like a boring result..

I think it's a shame actually. Give their management a platform like Hamburg or Stuttgart and they could be a top club, their hometown and their affiliation with Bayer will always keep them down.

Very strong and concentrated performance by us. Hopefully the two goals will drag Auba out of his recent slump.

One additional thing has to be said: Freiburg´s support is freaking fantastic. If I take the sizes of the stadiums into account, they have the best atmosphere in the league. The way they supported their team eventhough they were clearly the weaker side the whole time gave me goose bumps in the stadium. Such a likeable club. Let´s hope they stay in the Bundesliga for a long time. The league needs teams like these.

That being said, now let´s all laugh at Hamburg :lol::lol:

Dortmund fans are only allowed to laugh at Hamburg after you didnt feck it all up again in your game against them later this season. Fairly certain you help them survive relegation again this year :(.

Nothing brings more shame to my little footballl heart than the missed opportunities to kill off Hamburg and Hoffenheim when we had the chance :(

We did do our job in the first game this season, though.

Well, I guess it is a good omen for them. Get spanked in exchange for avoiding relegation.

Cologne supposedly turned down €50m for Modeste. Not sure that's a good decision, they could buy an entire squad for that money. On the other hand letting him go with 1/3 of the season to go would obviously be a bad signal.

Watching the highlights on sky now I gotta say: Söyüncü really got destroyed today, fooled by Sokratis before the 0-1, then nutmegged in crucial positions twice by Reus and a bit unfortunate when trying to defend Dortmund's third.

so now we know for a fact that Arsenal > HSV

Funny thing about this gmae today, it didn't even look like Bayern put a lot of effort in it. More like cruising in 2nd gear.

I only saw the highlights, but Robben looked really bothered after missing one of his chances.

Hamburg should start skipping their trip to Munich

Incidentally... last time I remember, when you don't show up for a game and default it, you lose by 2:0, so basically... the HSV would have had a better result if they did this. :P

But nice that Hamburg in their last away match won 3:0 against 2nd Leipzig... ;)

Typical Bundesliga, aside from Dortmund and Bayern no team really has any idea how to play a patient game, so even teams at the top can drop points at any time with just a little bit of (bad) luck.
it's called hyperbole

So after I query the poor standard of match officials in Germany, I settle down to watch Hertha-Eintracht.

1-0 Hertha. . . Offside btw (Kalou).

Who's young obama?

Nevermind. Aubameyang--young obama. :nervous:

Definitely a tough call for Frankfurt, are you sure it's offside though? I found it difficult to judge the situation. My understanding is that if Kalou lies in Hradecky's way when Ibisevic gets his shot off it's a clear offside call. What if Kalou's body only bothers Hradecky while him and Ibisevic are running at the ball and Hradecky has been able to get in a shot-stopping position by the time Ibisevic takes his shot? Wouldn't that be onside since the ball was last played by a Frankfurt player before it reached Ibisevic?
So if my assumption is correct then it would come down to whether or not Hradecky had already jumped over Kalou when the shot went off. I'd still say it's probably offside but I wouldn't blame the referee for getting it wrong.

. . . and Eintracht down to ten men again.

Kalou was offside TWICE.

The original pass from midfield to Kalou was offside.

Kalou then had a shot blocked, threw himself on the ground (as this is Germany, so he might as well look for a penalty).
Kalou then interfered with play (by obstructing Hradecky) by being in an offside position for a second time on Ibisevic's shot/goal.

lol @ 3 seconds of injury time...
Unlucky result for Frankfurt, they're difficult to play.

The original pass from midfield to Kalou was offside.

Didn't they just show that the first pass wasn't offside?
Nevermind, they just showed he was slightly offside....everything else is irrelevant then.

3-0 but your point still stands. just me being pedantic I guess.

sorta hoping hamburg finally gets relegated this season, they're basically sunderland of BuLi at this point.

Kalou was offside on Ibisevic's shot. . . So take your pic.
