Bundesliga 2016/17

Pheew... I just woke up and saw the score. I can't believe we won, and out of all people Papadopoulos (with the number 9 shirt ) scores the winning goal vs. his parent club. Surreal.

Only increases the chances for Liverpool to get a special talent in Brandt, though i´m not so sure what the hell they do with him. If Klopp wants to switch to a 4-2-3-1 with Mane- Brandt - Coutinho behind Firmino and in front of Henderson/Lallana, he better find himself some world class defenders.

Is Brandt really that special? Where does he truly shine? I think he's okay at most things, but I struggle to name many great attributes. His technique especially looks quite mediocre to me whenever I watch him. To me it looks like he's good at undestanding the game which makes him effective if he's given space, but that's hardly enough to be "special" these days. And I know he's only 20 years old but at the same time he's already got more than 100 matches for Leverkusen to his name, so he's already got quite a bit of experience.

Generally speaking I feel like people make the mistake of confusing early maturity with genuine talent quite often these days. Pulisic is another candidate for that category imho.

Completely agree about Brandt. But, to be fair, the entire Leverkusen team has looked out of sorts this season.

Roger Schmidt bears much, if not most, of the responsibility for that.

I think Dortmund will win this. Leipzig are missing some of their best players (Forsberg (suspended), Werner, Sabitzer, Demme (flu), Burke might only get some minutes), that's going to hurt them.

Dortmund are always find a way to drop points, tbf :D

Half the team basically. Ok [going off to bet on dortmund]

Schalke trolling their fans like usual:
Torture them with terrible football until they lose all hope, then play well against a big team to give them back their hope, then go back to being shit..:wenger:

We play so shitty it actually makes me physically sick watching this. Appalling, disgusting stuff. This is unnacceptable. Sell Müller to China and sack Carlo after another one of those. Ugh.

It's really hard watching the team this season after those years with Pep. They are the same players, we don't have the amount of injuries Pep had and we look so much worse.

Looks like the path for Tuchel to Bayern is opening up.

Why? I think we are slightly better than Schalke ;). It will depend on how we turn up though. That's the problem with Arsenal.

To be fair, we always struggle against Schalke. That wasn't different under Pep. But with the way we are playing right now we won't win shite this season.

I watch Bayern 16/17, then i read some postings about how Pep isn't really that good, only won with Bayern and Barca because he inherited great teams. It's like going to a different universe, really.
In the Pep years, the constant pressure lead to fatigue and injuries every second half of the season, so i thought Ancelottis more relaxed way might actually benefit the team and they might actually improve, yet no sign of it yet. Local newspapers start giving hints about a certain unrest in the team about Ancelottis style... hope it isn't true.

Hummels is still a nuisance. My hair stand on its ends every time he does a hail mary tackling in the half field. No idea how he gets away with that and is still regarded a top defender. The better Bayern CB wore blue today.

Damn Dortmund haven´t lost at home in the league, since April 2015.
