Yeah, he already had problems on tuesday so he's getting a break. Don't know if he's going to be fit for the cup SF.
Thought Hummels had problems as well. He clearly played through pain against Real.
Not just Boateng - Martinez, too.
Hummels does not have muscle problems - that might be the difference. He already said after the Real match that he never thought they get him fit - but did wonders.
If this is smart - I do not know. I know that they kept Schweinsteiger on the pitch with similar ankle problems for ages - all through the last world cup and the season before.
The season is over anyway so it doesn't really matter. I would give as much playing time as possible to Coman, Sanches and Kimmich. Maybe even to Costa to attract buyers, i don't think he's staying.
