Yeah, it's the worst. I did like how they used to keep the real-time picture in the corner when they showed replays, but they seem to have stopped doing that for some reason. Otherwise, there never needs to be a box on the screen. I don't even mind Webb chiming in about decisions, but it doesn't need a box.
I think I've mentioned it before, but the worst one was in the 13/14 season when we were at home to Palace, and we got that penalty right before half time. McManaman went ballistic at half time. He was seething. David James and Neil Warnock would try to speak, and he just shouted over them. Then as the second half kicked off, up popped the BT Box during live play, and there's McManaman's mug, just shouting the same words he shouted at half time, but louder and madder. An angry scouser, interrupting live football, to shout about United getting a penalty in the first half - A televised football coverage first, I am sure.
I can't even imagine what prompted them to do it. I just imagine McManaman was in the studio, storming around and screaming at camera crew; "Put me on the screen! I've got some shit to say!" and it happened. Hilarious.
Hargreaves as their CL commentator? I've got a feeling I'm going to wear out my mute button this autumn.

The HD quality of Premier League football on BT Sport is definitely poorer than last season.
Sky Sports looks the same to me, so I'm certain BT have done this on purpose.

I thought the quality wasn't up to scratch at weekend. I put it down to not watching football for a while!
You should see their SD, it's like watching an average stream. When the camera zoomed out I had to walk over to my TV to identify the player(s) on the ball.
Upgraded to HD yesterday and it already strikes me as worst quality HD channel on Sky. TCM HD is even slightly better than this. I agree, its more than likely deliberate to encourage their 4K box sign-ups.

McManaman is a ridiculously bad pundit. He's bad enough on his own, but he's cancer to a panel as he shouts over people and seems to thinks of every little disagreement with fellow pundits as a pitched battle that must be 'won' regardless of facts.
I still remember someone had the audacity to disagree with him at half-time around the period you're talking and him saying "Yeah? Well I disagree!" in the most childish tone you can imagine with no follow-up whatsoever, and the host awkwardly broke for ads.

Taking off the rose tinted specs for a moment I genuinely believe Scholes is the worst pundit on telly. Yes the likes of Redknapp/Wright/Merson are morons but at least they sound like they want to be there.

It was awful for me, had to refresh constantly, it cutout while it was "working" flicking in and out of HD. Constantly throwing error messages, at one point they restarted their servers as I just got a message telling me that's what they were doing. Really shoddy for a paid service.
Have a look on Twitter, seems this was the case for the majority!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for me Owen just seems to jump on the most popular bandwagon and make it seem like its amazing insight. He is so eager to blame Romero that everything is the keepers fault, i didnt think he had much of a chance vs their goal but Owen made it seem like it was an absolute howler.

One of my picks for Owen's shite was early on when giving Carrick MASSIVE credit for his pass to Memphis for the first goal.
Pass was fine in terms of getting to him but was hardly a great pass given it was chest height. Completely ignoring what Memphis had to do (having to pop the ball over the defenders head) to get the chance for his goal.

Do you guy's really "mute the telly" when awful commentators are in action? I always see comments like this, but surely you actually don't sit in silence and watch the game? that is bizarre to me.
Yep, I do. Just put music or something on instead, or if there is a radio commentary I sync them up.
