There's been a number of clear briefings from the club to the UK press saying they're pissed off being being linked by his agent to try and drive up his price when we're not interested.
He won't show up. Fridge is cruel like that.

While the English press certainly report only when the club briefs them, they can breif a planted twisted facts and they will report the same.
Very easy to say never on our list if you can't find an agreement and do not intend to spend the money. And people will belive.

We didn't score enough goals WITH Lukaku last season. How we figure we will without a replacement I'm not sure. Greenwood obviously isn't going to score 25 goals.

Is it me, but if we are not interested in Fernandes, we will start the season with the weakest of weak midfields, even if Pogba stays. Strengthening defence is pointless if you have zero creativity. I just hope that we aren't that daft, although history shows that.....

Pogba isn’t leaving so it makes sense now. However, I believe he was mentioned when there was rumors that Pogba would be leaving. I am not buying that we were never interested in him as a replacement for Pogba. We can’t just lose our best players and not have a replacement lined up.
However, Ole did mentioned that the early transfer window closing was a bit difficult to deal with. So I wouldn’t be surprised if that was truly the case.
On Bruno, I am surprised not that many clubs are seriously pursuing him. It is like Ziyech. Both good players with no top clubs paying that much attention.
I'd find it odd that the likes of Ducker and others have said we are interested along with Di Marzio, and yet we apparently have no interest. The truth is somewhere in between most likely!
I find it so weird that Amoyal says he's almost certain though. I've never seen that team stick their neck out to that extent and fall on their sword.
