Difference is Stone usually doesn't sound certain unless he is certain. Otherwise he uses words like "i believe" or "to my understanding"
Stone is a club puppet. He says what they want him to, which is why I'm cautious with him.
In terms of breaking stories Di Marzio does it first way before Stone. Sure he can get a couple wrong here and there but he is more reliable in terms of breaking news first.

It is good you are cautious because using him as a mouth piece works. We have another BBC journalist saying United like the player only a few weeks ago, but still have posters today saying we were never even interested in for him. For whatever reason, we have not acted on our interest. I really hope its because we have another target in mind, but my head is saying its the Glazers penny pinching and refusing to spend any more significant money.

Right. But for that same reason Stone is the more likely bet when both are contradicting each other on a transfer story. This particular story isn't about breaking news first, it's about accuracy. Stone is generally conservative on these sort of stories.

I don't know, hence why I said apparently. Only going by people on reddit saying Di Marzio's record hasn't been great, but don't know specifically why.
I think he would've been worth a punt for many clubs, if Sporting weren't asking for 70m+
The only reports were Longstaff, Bruno and Dybala. The latter two are not happening anymore and the deal with Longstaff has stalled because Newcastle value the player at almost twice what United want to pay. The only other players we have been linked with our youth players like Hannibal.
EDIT: I forgot to mention Mandzukic - not clear what is happening with that.
