Bruno Fernandes | United not interested due to doubts over passing ability

believe me, this thread will still be going even after the transfer window shuts, will be interesting to see if he goes to spurs or another team, its fairly obvious he won't be wearing a Utd shirt

Yeah I think we can safely say that Bruno will leave Sporting but just don't see it being to Utd. Goldbridge from The United stand is gonna have a complete meltdown.

The grief I have had from rival fans - I have mates who are Liverpool fans.

I cannot take another mediocre year. Come on Ed, do us proud.

Ah mate I feel your pain, I'm very similar, got hammered last year that was just worst case scenario haha hibernating until Xmas when hopefully were doing alright!

I would love to be the fly on the wall during these negotiations with Matt Judge, Ed Woodward and the prospective clubs. I’d hit them in the face every time they mention Disney land and also to see first hand how they even got he job in the first place with their obvious lack of negotiation skills.

This Bruno saga from the media has become a common pattern “Manchester United close to signing..”, then the next day “Deal not yet finalised. Principal terms met.” to “No confirmed bid by United. United ready to step up asking price”.

Rinse and repeat and hope that something sticks.

Di Marzio got this one wrong? Dybala and him together didn't makes sense and now this news... hmm doubts doubts doubts

How does it not make sense? Dybala and Fernandes isnt a one or the other type deal.

Every day this is getting flipped. It’s insane how United (if Truly not interested) have not gone public to denounce all of these rumors. That is what makes part of me believe there is real interest.

On the other hand. How can it be reported that “United are close to agreeing a deal” and then within the same week Spurs are “flying to Lisbon to complete the deal”.

This transfer saga is exhausting for both parties.
United usually don't denounce rumors. If the persistent Gaitan rumors didnt elicit much response.

Has Duncan Castles ever been right about anything?

This window. No. But Spurs are so reactionary it wouldn’t surprise me Levi woke up after being moaned at publicly by Poch and said this Bruno player your trying to sell.. still available?

It just reeks of somebody mentioning us to get clicks to be honest. I still expect him to sign. But to be fair I’m only guessing.

If Dybala fails and Bruno ends up at Spurs heads should fecking roll.

Pretty sure we did with Lindelof. Might be wrong though, but we were linked heavily in the January window before the summer we bought him, and i'm sure we said it was just a rumour.

I'm sure we can find a place for both but they're very similar. Other positions are more important that's why it didn't make sense. But I'm more concerned if we really were in for Fernandez now.

I think were at the end of the boom, and starting to reach the bust point of the cycle arent we?

Maybe it's a case of Fernandes or Dybala, and we're that confident of getting Dybala that we've given up on Fernandes?
I'd have liked both, but i guess it's not to be

For what it's worth, on reddit they've knocked him down to tier 3 and some are arguing for tier 4 apparently due to the sheer amount of things he's gotten wrong this window, with talk a while back speculating that he'd stopped paying his sources for scoops.

See Morata in 2017.

I mean, other clubs DO submit proposals, and it doesn’t prevent them from signing players (much rather an opposite). Why our tactics is always “talk, discuss” without making bids from the legal standpoint? Not in relation to Bruno, but to anyone

We are utter fools if we let him go to Spurs and become a superstar

I said before that our priority in midfield is holding midfielder.

The fact that we apparently won't address our midfield at all this transfer window is ridiculous.
