Bruno Fernandes | United not interested due to doubts over passing ability

No No No BruNo..!

Perhaps. Doesn't help if it turns out that we've lost two central midfielders and we're not looking to replace them, though.

But we have replaced them, hadn't you noticed we resigned Mata & Pereira....

You're moving the goalposts here buddy.

People will make personal judgments. Especially on a football forum. Get used to it. Nobody likes people preaching and then bragging about how easy this mentality shift actually is. You're not going to change a thing on here.

But, you have your opinion just like everybody else. For all it's worth, I agree with you :)

I get what you're saying but sometimes, generally if I've had a drink, it's harder to just move past it. I move past a lot of ridiculous comments but very now and then, I unfortunately bite.

So, you think people employed by United are mentally challenged based on some click bait articles?
Not so much mentally challenged just we are lacking a DoF / team and the football side is not Ed / Judge's forte plus they have a lot of corporate stuff to juggle it with.

The reports just back up what I think and what seems common sense

I think it’s a done deal on the condition that he can play one last game in the super cup.

Expect him to say his goodbyes on the final whistle and wrap it up early next week.

Levy is trying to decrease Lo Celso price perhaps

Could be but we were interested in him but I think we looked else where when United seemed to be in the driving seat. I think we did inquire about Dybala then you went in for him so we probably went back to Bruno... I have no hard evidence of any of this by the way just seems odd. If pongs is staying I can’t see you getting Dybala and Bruno.

Why not? Dybala would play up front with martial and Rashford, and Bruno in the middle with McTominay and Pogba. Or a diamond of McTominay, Pogba, Bruno and dybala with 2 forwards up top

So who is better out of the two? We seem to be dithering.
It's not dithering, it's called not putting all your eggs in one basket only for that player to turn you down and end up with nothing. We did the same with Lukaku and Morata, keep your second choice on standby and if you can't get your first choice then finalise the second choice. All parties will be aware of the situation.

I hope you are right mate, but personally I can’t see Sporting risking him getting an injury if a £60 million transfer has been agreed.

Every day this is getting flipped. It’s insane how United (if Truly not interested) have not gone public to denounce all of these rumors. That is what makes part of me believe there is real interest.

On the other hand. How can it be reported that “United are close to agreeing a deal” and then within the same week Spurs are “flying to Lisbon to complete the deal”.

This transfer saga is exhausting for both parties.

Something just feels off about this Bruno deal, seems to have been so much talk for months and we haven't made a firm offer yet.

Very strange, maybe a back up in case Pogba does go and he is a replacement but we seem to have that in place with Lazio as well for SMS.

The strange thing is, bar Longstaff for 50M quid, we have not really been seriously linked with any other CMs this window, when I thought at least two would come in.

Hopefully get Dybala/Maguire done by Monday and we can concentrate on midfield next week.

Dybala need to play through the middle, or as a second striker for me, he isn't a wide man no matter how people say he is. Quality player that he is, not many teams play a formation that gets the best out of him.

Not sure how a midfielder can be the alternative to a forward.

believe me, this thread will still be going even after the transfer window shuts, will be interesting to see if he goes to spurs or another team, its fairly obvious he won't be wearing a Utd shirt

Bruno is not going to Spurs. They already have Dele and Eriksen.

I guess di marzio was wrong again
I think the possibility of signing Dybala has made everything else take a back seat. Mind you we could still sign him or both for the next 48 hours I think our aim is to convince Dybala to join us.

My belief on this the whole summer was that Bruno was first choice if we ended up losing Pogba, so we were keeping him warm just in case. Pretty standard.

I must admit, the tears after the last game muddled the thinking, because that's a very clear indication that the player knows he is leaving. Things change quickly, so perhaps he was but something went wrong. I wouldn't be surprised to now see him end up at Tottenham, but I certainly hope we bring him to United regardless of Pogba. Too many people I trust have raved about him as a player. They wont all be wrong.

If Madrid came in with a 150million bid, Pogba would be leaving imo.
Can they get the 150m fee and pay Pogba’s salary over 5 years presumably about 300-400k per week whilst still paying ‘the golfer his wages?
