Or sell them both and bring in a sexy AM like Musiala, Wirtz or Xavi Simmons.

In an ideal world, United would be playing 4-3-3 and a classic #10 wouldn't be needed at all. But Amorim is a 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-3 guy. So be it.
I've only seen a handful of games featuring each of those players but I have been a little underwhelmed by Wirtz and Simons whenever I've watched them for their club/country. Musiala looks class though.

And yes, the evidence so far suggests that Amorim will almost certainly never deviate from 3 at the back. Bruno is immune to formation changes, unlike a lot of other top players.

Wirtz is quality. He's probably less suited to The PL than the other two though. I actually think Simmons would excel as an AM in Amorim 3-4-2-1. He can drive forward with the ball and can pick a pass/score goals.

As in he stinks the place out of it regardless of formation?

Why are you wumming in the bruno thread after he's played so well? Weird flex.

This wasn't a wum?

If you're sensitive, maybe?

I'm asking does that guy think Bruno is poor in all formations. Maybe he'll answer.

It's 2025. Who uses the word wum?
Erm, many people on this forum. I'm amazed this is the first time you've come across it this year, frankly

You're across a few threads knocking this player. Save it for when he's had a bad game.

 there's clearly no pleasing you. Can't imagine some of the looks you would get if you said that in the away end today, or at Wembley in May after he led us to silverware against the odds.

He clearly showed today that he's not poor in Amorim's formation, whether that's as an inside 10 or an 8 next to Ugarte. He has also shown that he is quality in a 4-2-3-1 and a 4-3-3.

I will happily say this about his performance today against Liverpool:

If he put in those performances week in week out, I would never have a bad word to say about him.

Forums are also outdated. Just a thousand or so active relics left on here while the world moves by. Kids on TikTok are using this interaction as a case study right now. "It's 2007 and you log onto a football forum. People use words like Wum and caftard".

I didn't realise you were aware of what other posters chose to post about. If anything, I haven't posted once about any of Bruno's bad performances recently. It's as if people can discuss things they choose to. Freedom of speech. Well, not really. The mods like to feel important still on this retro sensation.

Hopefully that guy answers my question.

I did. Maybe you'll get to it once you stop waffling on about kids on Tiktok.

You have a very inflated sense of yourself eh?! Enjoy the superiority complex, I'm sure it's served you well so far!

Good thing I don't go to games. Imagine getting the shit kicked out of by fully grown males over a game of football. Ste Howson sitting on me seems harsh.

Ah, so you meant Bruno is unique. Other top players can't adapt like he does. Interesting.

I am humble. Like Haaland said to be.

Life is too short to waste your time on policing a Bruno thread. Don't take it so personally. It's football. People aren't going to agree with everything you think. You rate Bruno, I don't. It doesn't matter if Bruno scores a hat-trick or scores an OG. It's an open forum for discussion. In fact, kicking Bruno while he's down would be worse.

Pretty sure your comments wouldn't trigger a violent response from anyone. You would likely get laughed out the stadium for some of the shit you come out with.

Some top players can adapt to new formations, others can't. I'd be intrigued to see how the likes of Salah and Diaz would have adapted to Amorim's system had he been Klopp's successor. I reckon Salah wouldn't be in his current form had he been playing as one of Amorim's 10s this season.

Definitely his best performance in a tough game to my memory. Got to hope his red card against Wolves and his performance today can be a turning point for him, we really need a consistent Bruno to recharge our season.

Ok buddy, enjoy spending your time productively trolling the Bruno thread. Ignored.

Salah would be great under Amorim.

He's so much better in the 8 role next to Ugarte than the 10 role. Would love to see Mainoo play the 10, as he's a better driver with the ball and has better attacking instincts than defensive ones. Bruno was class playing in centre mid.

Nonsense. I'm happy about a player showing the fan base that he is (shock horror) an excellent player, like every manager that has managed him has thought. You have the most posts in this thread and yet others are the ones with agendas...?
So you choose to express this happiness by bringing up the behaviour of other posters in this thread as the first thing? Thats very interesting. And just for the record, #2 and #3 in this thread on your highly sophisticated agenda detector are Scandi and Gabriel. I guess they have agendas too. You are #6 by the way but I am sure you have a fantastic explanation why stuff only applies to other people. Imagine complaining about Agendas and negativity and then after a good performance where unisono people voice their appreciation in this thread, your first thought are which posters weren't right on the internet in the weeks prior.
Now play like this every God damn week.
That would be awesome. I also hope that what he said post-match (also said by Amorim a little later) find the way in other players minds - they have an extra level in them. When they manage to get into that gear more often, then this misery will end very soon.
He was fantastic today, so calm and composed. He had a few dribbles where the ballstuck to him like glue
He did, I noticed that too. But, I thought it was the kind of dribbles that McTominay had in him from time to time. A dribble by a player that isn't expected to dribble and therefor catches opponents off-guard. It would be great if he'd add that behaviour into his arsenal, if opponents have to expect dribbles, even those small ones, they have to give him more space which might help him picking passes better.Very encouraging signs but it has to be said, that most of the team looked really good today, lets see how things continue to play out.

So why are you here posting on one, not like you've been doing so for years

I wonder if Amorim could tweak things to more of a 3-5-2 sort of like Inter play, but with a tackler at the base instead of a passer like Calhanoglu and since that's more defensive, a more attacking wingback on one side.

--------------------------Hojlund-------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------Amad--------------
Garnacho------Bruno-------Mainoo------------------
--------------------------Ugarte------------------------Dalot
-----------Licha--------Yoro----------Mazraoui---------

Bruno is a bit deeper than the usual #10 so maybe that allows for Garnacho to be played as a wingback on that side.

Does feel like a team that could be bullied, though the back 3 can actually pass so we might be able to circulate the ball and control games for longer stretches.

I'm not sure whether supporting someone that has been our best player for years now can be considered an agenda, can it? I'd argue that's called 'being a fan'.

I’ve been pretty critical of him before, but I’ve got to admit, this was probably his best game in ages. He actually showed some real strength on the ball and didn’t give it away like he usually does. That assist for Licha’s goal was brilliant.

If he can build on this and have a strong second half of the season, it would be massive.

He was excellent yesterday but its fine margins. If he loses the ball and we concede while he is dribbling in the middle of the pitch, he gets a lot of hate.

A few moments of giving away the ball trying a hollywood pass especially that last volley he skied, but we can let that go for now.

Good on him to admit he has been poor as well unlike some posters here. Let’s see if we can get more consistency from him.

You may argue that supporting a player is called being a fan, others will look at the highest number of posts per poster and draw conclusions that all of the top contributors are agenda driven. I'm not sure which perspective makes more sense.
