Going nowhere with this guy. He’s so unbelievably wasteful in possession. Compare him to Bernardo silva. Night and day.
Huh? They couldn’t be further apart.Hopefully Ten Hag brings him with him when he hopefully goes, because these two are made for each other with their style of football. I don't think I have ever seen manager and player being so similar in their style of football, and for bad reasons.
He’s Portugal’s best footballer though in their national team. You know the same team with Bernardo Silva in it?Going nowhere with this guy. He’s so unbelievably wasteful in possession. Compare him to Bernardo silva. Night and day.
I couldn’t care less about what he does for Portugal. He’s Portugal’s best footballer though in their national team. You know the same team with Bernardo Silva in it?
It’s more the tactics at United and in my opinion you play Bruno as a forward not as a central midfielder. He shouldn’t have many defensive duties.
His strength is output. His peak at United for example he didn’t play deep and was ridiculous for us. Would Bernardo Silva have done what Bruno did in our limited side? No
He’s their most talented footballer though so we just going to gloss over that?I couldn’t care less about what he does for Portugal.

Granted Bruno isn’t a City player either he doesn’t play their style. A lot of getting the best out of players is putting them in the right position and side. United haven’t had a good side for a decade so it’s hard to get the best out of footballers.
He’s the heartbeat of this Portugal side currently. What do you mean?
Let me be clear. I could not give a shit about the Portugal national team. I couldn’t care less which league Bruno might do well in. What I do know…is that I’ve watched enough of him in a Utd shirt to not want to see anymore wastefulness, petulance, shithousery, poor leadership. He’s their most talented footballer though so we just going to gloss over that?
I’m open to United selling him as I don’t think he fits our side if we want more control but… he’s still a fantastic footballer.
I personally think he should go to La Liga. He could play for basically any team there and do well. Maybe Athletico since Real have Bellingham. I think he’d be brilliant for Real Madrid btw if they didn’t have Bellingham.
He’s the heartbeat of this Portugal side currently.
Arguably the most important footballer among any national side right now with hopes of winning anything in the Euros.
How is that relevant to United, where he's the complete opposite of all those things? He’s the heartbeat of this Portugal side currently.

Even in the last World Cup he was easily Portugal’s best player. He’s rightfully the leader of their team.
People are hating on the guy saying he’s worse than Bernardo silva when all the evidence when they play in the same side says exactly the opposite. How is that relevant to United, where he's the complete opposite of all those things?
Nobody is hating on Bruno. He's just been poor, and you can't blame it on tactics.People are hating on the guy saying he’s worse than Bernardo silva when all the evidence when they play in the same side says exactly the opposite.
I don’t like our fans hating on our players.
People worship limited footballers playing limited roles in stacked club sides ithe issue. City have many of those.
They go to another club they would do worse than Bruno has at United. The game is built on tactics / physical attributes not talent a lot of the time.
Hate the tactical setup not the player.
Is ANY of this more than just your opinion? He’s the heartbeat of this Portugal side currently.

The drop off in goal scoring is really something.
2019/20 (half season) 8 in 14 = 0.57gpg.
2020/21 18 in 37 = 0.49gpg.
2021/22 10 in 36 = 0.28gpg.
2022/23 8 in 37 = 0.22gpg
2023/24 (so far) 4 in 27 = 0.15gpg.
That’s just PL, it may very in other comps but it’s a very clear decline.

How many touches do United have inside the box in those respective seasons, probably a correlation in there.Klopp - “Manchester United get more penalties than Liverpool” (Oct 21)…
Everyone just kept fouling us! Outside Bruno v Villa they all were pens.14 in 19/20
That 5 or so months of football post-lockdown football for us was utterly bizarre.
He, along with very few others, is a good player in a bad team. Selling him would be a mistake.
There are only 2 players in the team who are older than 25 who I'd care about keeping: Martinez and Bruno.
Everyone just kept fouling us! Outside Bruno v Villa they all were pens.
I think there was one other one that was iffy as well, although can't remember which off the top of my head. But yeah, the rest were definite penalties, and in reality there were quite a few others that we should have got as well.Everyone just kept fouling us! Outside Bruno v Villa they all were pens.
Probably, I don't really remember them. But we broke a record for most penalties awarded in a PL season. I remember it was just funny getting peno after peno.

It was the peak of us having Rashford, Martial and Greenwood all attacking defenders with pace, dribbling and trickery, while also being fed by Bruno behind them. So much potential in that group, but unfortunately it all went badly wrong.
That was the case for only one penalty…Leicester away on the final day.It was Bruno to Martial if I remember correctly, Martial had this way of inviting the foul with his first touch and he’d be waiting to go down. There was a few stonewall shouts that we were denied after Klopps comments. We were playing some nice stuff back then and looked to have turned a corner… sigh.
I mean it’s pretty obvious, no? Because he’s the captain, undisputed first choice player on the team sheet, and the player everyone else defers to in the buildup and final third of the pitch. Why is he held to a higher standard if his doubters do not believe he has a higher standard? Help me understand.
Been going on way longer than when he was named captain, to be fair. He’s first choice because he’s the best we have in that position and is always available. The alternatives have been Andreas, Lingard, Eriksen and Mount.I mean it’s pretty obvious, no? Because he’s the captain, undisputed first choice player on the team sheet, and the player everyone else defers to in the buildup and final third of the pitch.
If he’s the key player, he should be judged as such.
