He was fantastic today! He must always play as number 10. And free to roam. Never again on the wings, please. Especially not because of the need to accommodate Wout (never again Wout as number 10).

I really hope this shoving Bruno to the wing so Weghorst can play at #10 experiment has finally stopped with tonight’s performance.

fantastic, captains performance.
Neville, Paul Parker and a good number of posters should shush.

His quality was seen as an 8, spraying balls and switching play. He swapped with Fred when he drops deeper, and vice versa when Bruno pushes to a 10 position.

We do not have a midfielder that has ability as Erikson is injured.

Ten Hag has just said he was the best player on the pitch. It would be very odd to move him out wide again.

What a ridiculous footballer. Ran the show tonight and popped up with a goal as usual. ALSO, 48 games already played this season and we're in March!

Well, we signed players like Cas, Eriksen, and Satizber who all play behind No. 10. I mean, at one point, people have to look at those players and see if they were able to progress the ball from deep and control the midfield instead of putting all the blame on the guy who plays ahead of them naturally.

Huh? I am not blaming Bruno for our lack of progression. I am saying we may need Bruno to play deeper to help with the progression, like today.

Neither Casemiro nor Sabitzer are natural ball progressors.

My point is without Eriksen the rest of the midfileder struggles to advance the ball from the defense. So Bruno should be played a bit more withdrawn to help with that.

1st goal - Played the cross that was intercepted and landed with Rashford.
2nd goal - Assist
3rd goal - Scorer
4th goal - Played the neat corner to Pellestri

And should've had an assist when Antony tried to lob the keeper. EMPERIOUS BRUNO.

He played well tonight, but this type of game has been his bread and butter really. Reminded me a bit of the Roma dismantling a couple of years ago where he was influential.

Unfortunately the magnitude of Sunday means he's got to put in these performances non-stop and drop one on Liverpool next season. Not from a United fan/pundit point of view, but the rest of the landscape who have knives out and ready.

He's been highlighted as a cheater, moaner, arm-thrower, a coward, emotional etc etc. It isn't going to go away and I can see some of these highlighted opinions lead to some questionable calls going forward. I'll hazard a guess that he has at least one clean penalty call ruled against him between now and the end of the season.

Outstanding tonight.
The nature of the game suited him definitely but he is way more suited to a central role.
Dont shunt him to a wing again please Erik

Was there ever a doubt on his quality? It’s his nature that’s his very problem. He has never come across well when you’ve been well beaten. Not just against Liverpool but he was questioned consistently last season.

Anyway guys congrats on the win.

After being the scapegoat of all frustrations of the last game, Bruno did another nice performace, showing he's tough, physically and mentally.

As usual? He has 9 goals in 47 games for United  Great game today, but it really is expected against Real Betis.

Betis are decent opposition. They weren’t good tonight but I don’t think many expected the game to be that comfortable

Isn't he our second highest scorer this season after Rashford? There are also a bunch of assists in there too... and in case you're forgetting he's a midfielder!

Outstanding. Possibly the best I’ve seen him ever play for us.

Clearly, all he needed was the rest.

I might be inclined to agree.

He ran the game like a central midfielder tonight.

He was the deepest midfielder at times during that game. Wonder if the heat map supports this too.

Didn't think he had this type of performance in him. He was imperious.

I had my doubts about us continuing with Bruno if ETH wants to move to a possession based control the game type football.

Today showed maybe it is possible to have Bruno and control the game with Bruno running the show.

Played a deeper role and played it brilliantly. Very good with his passing today, I only remember one stupid flick. He is clearly the emotional leader of the team, happy he got a goal and the adulation of the crowd. A lot more of the same please

I might be wrong but i think in his debut for United he played the deeper role and was very conservative in his passing in a good way, recycling possession and keeping the ball. He has it in his locker for sure.

He's having a very good season overall.

I thought he was really good in possession today. If he can continue this kind of football, even if not as good as he was today, I would be very happy with him going forward. Doesn't need to score the goal, only be less gung ho, while letting the opportunities come to him a little more than his usual approach.

He was magnificent. If Bruno can be less erratic and just be more assured / accurate in his play, and calm in his head, as he was today, he’d be incredible.

Brilliant. Simply brilliant. What a way to put the Liverpool game behind you.

He always plays well at Old Trafford so i’m not really surprised with his performance today. But it was great to see him for once cut out down the moaning and whining and just concentrated on his football on the pitch. That one-two with Antony to put him through one on one was an excellent bit of play

Yes! We don’t do that enough from our players. If you have those kind of give and goes in your team it puts opponents on the back foot

To be fair he destroyed Leicester with some of his passing from the right. It’s good to be adaptable but I agree that he should be in the middle
His passing and execution from the middle is something that apart from Eriksen, no one else is capable of in our squad. We are much better having him in the middle. Fantastic performance from him.

Got to give Bruno his due for last night. Played excellent efficient football and controlled the game. Kept himself also in control even when provoked for his challenge on their GK. Hoping for more of the same (in terms of controlling the game and helping us keep/progress the ball), especially against teams that press like mad. Bruno will then be a more complete No. 10 and leader for us (apart from usual transition brilliance).

He naturally drifts out to the wide areas anyways. It gives him the angle on the through balls and the ability to scan the entire defense with one look. It also hides his weakness in physical duels. This controlled version of Bruno can work in the middle but the erratic version is probably better out wide.

No nonsense performance from him last night, great to see. There was one moment in the first half he was tackled from behind just as he was moving into the Betis half of the pitch, instead of going to ground and rolling about he powered through it.

Perfect response, brought no drama to the pitch and was very professional and determined to prove everyone wrong.

Through balls and link up play was brilliant, led be example and worthy of man of the match.

Scandalous that he was signing autographs to random fans when Betis were counter attacking at the end. 0 professionalism.
