Bruno worries me, his form has dropped for us 2nd half of season and he does go missing when playing against better teams. Hope he just needs a rest ..

He doesn't go missing, the games are just tougher and therefore he doesn't get the space to work, he is still often our most creative and his movement causing teams problems and creates space for others because they focus on him.

I agree that Grealish is a top class player, and if it were Lingard or Pereira I could understand selling them in a second, but Bruno is a potential Player of the Season we are talking about and our top scorer.

I agree with the premise of your post but not the severity of it. Bruno is largely way over rated due to his stats and crazy amount of penalty goals. His overall play is far from a player with those sorts of stats. However he is not "trash". No where near it. Hes still a good player, just not as good as the stats would suggest. For eg: De Bryune has worse stats but a far better player and plays in similar positions

It's kind of important for elite athletes to acknowledge that there are times when they are not the best-placed professionals to judge their own levels. Bruno is obviously a 'I can play every match then another one after that' type personality.

Therefore it has to be his mangers that moderate that.

Because he's lost the 1-2% that makes him special over the last six months. And as his club, we have to hope that can be resolved with a rest. And hope that he gets it.

Ridiculous lack of nuance in this thread. Typical of modern online discourse - players are either goats or frauds. All very tiring.

My take, and one I've had almost since we signed him, is that Bruno is a good/very good player but has serious limitations. The classic 'moments' player but simply not able to run a game because he's so flaky in possession, like a modern Gerrard.

The fact our team is set up around him is a problem, not least because it means Ole feels he can never rest him and as a result he's been dead on his feet for months. Plus teams know that if they shut off Bruno's spaces then we're not an attacking threat.

I'm hoping that getting Sancho, and maybe the emergence of Amad and/or Mejbri, can give us some more options on the pitch. Maybe he'll score fewer goals but we'll be a more dangerous team.

No! I think Pogba gets much more leeway for a player who is our record signing, our top earner together with DDG and someone who plays well 3 months every season for us. For the remaining period he is either terribly out of form or injured.
But by now I am not even surprised anymore that he still has such a huge support among our fans. If he had played like this since 2016 for any other big club the fans would have booed him out of the club by now.
If we were a well run club we would have sold him by now. But other clubs don’t seem to be interested to invest too much money in him. They would rather wait for him to be a free agent again.

Firstly it is not false.

Secondly on the specific issue I was commenting on, anyone with half an eye could see the drop in quality from Bruno to VDB is too far. If we had someone of the quality of Grealish (or Sancho, and if we buy him you will then be able to see this with your own eyes) Ole would be able to rotate the front four without such a crippling effect.

Come back to me in a year and tell me if it isn’t true.

Granted, if you had of said our style of play doesn't suit VDB then I'd be more likely to agree with you but it's not because of lack of quality. Grealish, Bruno, Sancho, Greenwood, Cavani, Rashford. That depth will win major honours and using Pogba, Martial and Lingard as make weights makes it possible, still net of circa £120 mio net spend.
