Dare I say it, he's like Lionel Messi...

...wait for it

He's never injured.

(It's better than saying he's like Harry Maguire!)

Bruno and Cavani combined for 6 goals and 5 assists in the tie against Roma. Crazy!

Phenomenal performance, looks like he’s getting back to form at just the right time. If he Pogba and Cavani perform in the final, I think we win easy.

Which are all strikers too, while he's more of an OM
Definitely. I doubt the five of them combined have made as many tackles as he has.

Do Haaland and Mbappe not do defensive duties? How does Messi do more defensively than them? And some people say he cheats on defense.

Kane's numbers are good as well. I wonder it is because of how Jose wanted him to play or he is always like that.

He's been better after the international break or am I imagining things? Back to his best again.

I actually think he's improved a lot since he joined in that his ball retention is much better and he's perhaps not rushing to create things so much.

I wonder if some of his improvement is down to playing more time with Cavani and Pogba

Wow.. Bruno is just a machine.

And also 33 y.o. Messi made more tackles than Haaland and Mbappe combined.

Incredible statistics.
Do we have the same for chances created?

As someone, who struggles with my back to goal and receiving the ball in tight spaces/on the half turn, I love watching his hold/link up play in those pockets of triangles etc.

It's such an underrated aspect of his game because he doesn't hide and has someone on his shoulder, ready to nick the ball.

25 - Assists

I don't think pundits talk about his stats enough.

My MOTM today, no one was brilliant but most of what he tried came off and as always he drove the team forward

His end product wasn't there today but I'm still in awe how good his signing turned out to be for us. Cavani, Fernandes, Pogba, Shaw and Rashford (to a lesser extent Mason as well) ... it's been years since we had a squad with such quality. A few more additions and we'll be absolutely laughing.

I think his overall passing ability is a somewhat underrated aspect of his game.

Was poor today, seemed to lose the ball at will.

He’s an unbelievable penalty taker though. You’re waiting for him to miss but aside from the Newcastle one he just sticks them in for fun.

Midfielders make more tackles, that's normal but can't disagree with Bruno's workrate, He and Fred are great at pressing, just need another midfielder next to them instead of super static McTominay. Great to have a palyer like Cavani up top too to win something for the team. In modern's game it's absolutely essential to work hard of the ball to win the ball back asap and some of the attacking players shouldn't be excluded.

BTW would be interesting to see Pogba's numbers too. I think his role at "the wing" suit him better from the defensive point of view as well, as in midfield he's just too slow over first few meteres to move around effectively but at tighter spaces around the touch he's winning quite a lot too..

Love Bruno, just need to chill a bit he's the main point of the attack and so he should get the most goals and assists, and his penalty tally is skewing the statistics massively even though he's obviously the best penalty taker we may have had ever now.

Btw would be interesting to know what would be the statistics of Scholes and Lampard without the set pieces...
