Sneaky bum time - Vaccination status: dozed off
I was just having a dig with regard to the racist bit. I don't actually have an issue with this PR exercise. Some of you are taking an unnecessarily high moral ground over this.

He bought three players and shockingly enough, Southampton sold those three players to them. I know, it's crazy, right? One buys and one sells. It's a fascinating concept. How so? He's practically buying out the Starting XI.
Ground zero? So insensitive. While others appear to be wallowing in the low ground.
Ha.Ground zero? So insensitive.
It's the malicious conflation of the two tragedies that I find distasteful.....before standing RIGHT BESIDE said wreath, grinning like cheshire cats posing for pics. "Enough dignity, let's sell some jerseys!".
@jason93 I wouldn't bang on too much about Hillborough/Heysel. Liverpool fans don't like reality and you'll be on a fast-track to a banning when they all start reporting your posts. Heysel was a tragedy alright. A tragedy borne out of mindless thuggery.
But anyway, we shouldn't derail a Brenton Todgers thread.......

Do they? Source. And it's Liverpool's erasing of the Heysel tragedy that almost every other fanbase in the world finds distasteful.

From Brendan Rodgers to 9/11 to Heysel.
Very tasteful. Well done.
Back to Rodgers, why does he celebrate goals like a knob with his hands static up in the air?
I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, I doubt Kenny Rodgers and co are nefariously trying to manipulate 9/11 for their own ends, I think they are trying to be sincere. As ghoulish as it may look (and it looks fairly ghastly to me) I imagine it's more a case of typical bad judgment from the club rather than any deliberate attempt to profit from tragedy.
Although this certainly would have made Private Eye's 'Warballs' section.
I'm not trying to stir or have a dig, the following is a genuine question, what is the general view amongst pool supporters of then chairman john smiths attempts to shift the blame to Chelsea fans?Ok, I'll tell you.
Hillsborough involved a state cover up to blame innocent people for their own deaths. A cover up that lasted 23 years and the perpetrators still haven't been brought to justice. This is what sustains this story. I thought most knew this.
Hysel was a horrible tragedy where a handful of idiots got out of hand in a stadium not fit for purpose. Jacques Georges, the Uefa president at the time, and Hans Bangerter, his general secretary, were threatened with imprisonment but eventually given conditional discharges. Albert Roosens, the secretary-general of the Belgian Football Union, was given a six-month suspended prison sentence for “regrettable negligence” with regard to ticketing arrangements.
It was a shocking tragedy but prosecutions were made, 14 fans went to prison. There was no prevailing miscarriage of justice. More than £5million were awarded to families of the Heysel victims.
The two incidents are different.

It was a red herring. Shouldn't have blamed the National Front. However, Hysel came at a time where charging fans and violence were common place with the NF at the centre of much of it.I'm not trying to stir or have a dig, the following is a genuine question, what is the general view amongst pool supporters of then chairman john smiths attempts to shift the blame to Chelsea fans?
Because any time we try that certain posters end up getting carried away and it gets out of handWhy don't you set up a thread that actually relates to the topic & you might find out.

Indeed. Pretty poor stuff.

I'd say there is sufficient recognition of Heysel from the club. And it's not like we don't play United twice a year, where thousands kindly help us to remember that day in such a heartfelt, genuine fashion.
"One of my strengths is to communicate upwards."
He does come out with some total guff.David Brent is back.
David Brent is back.
David Brent is back.
Comes in handy when you're trapped down a well.
He does come out with some total guff.
Still, brilliant manager. Think he's set for bigger clubs than Liverpool.
"I’m very much into the tactics of the game and I am looking forward to it in that respect."
"We played a variety of systems last season that worked well for us, and Louis has come in and adopted the 3-5-2."
"He obviously had success at the World Cup with that, and is looking to roll it out at Manchester United, so yeah, it’s not what you’d call two standard systems or two standard coaches, it’s two coaches who are thinkers of the game."
He's dyed his hair blond over the summer, definitely something has been done.
It's good how Rodgers compares himself to LvG... I mean a mere mortal like Louis couldn't outdo the tactical master class that is Brendan.
