I agree with the rest of your post, but Arsenal seem to have a ridiculous number of injuries to key players every season. They are just as bad as us in that respect. I actually think they would have had a great chance of winning the league had Walcott, Ramsey, and Wilshere stayed fit for the whole season. Cover for Walcott should surely be a priority for them, they've looked toothless without him at times. Remy might be a decent option, while maybe not good enough to start every game for them.

I agree that they do always get injuries, partly in my opinion because they do not rotate as much as other top clubs (Giroud, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott would have burned out even if they weren't injured in my opinion). However the problem was that they were all injured at a similar time, during a period of tricky fixtures, which exacerbated the problem.

To compete for the title I think they need: quality wide cover for Walcott, a better replacement for Arteta, a top class RB (Sagna leaving), central defensive cover and a top class centre forward. In my opinion they wouldn't get much change from £100m for that shopping list, which means they will end up skimping on a few positions. That's why I put them 3rd/4th.

That last sentence from Rodgers' interview on the previous page is incredible. Truly incredible.

Has to be said, Rodgers plays to the Rawk masses extremely well. Most people would, naturally, cringe upon hearing that sentence. The Rawk lot just lap it up. Can you imagine SAF coming out with anything like that??

Ferguson the Bigot:

On controversial comedian Bernard Manning"Bernard Manning is on the bill again. I brace myself – and he doesn't disappoint me. I get some more fearful stick. He is certainly a controversial character and not everyone likes his racist slant. If you become part of his comedy act you only have two choices: accept it, or walk out. One thing in Bernard Manning's favour is that, for all his often offensive racism, he does an awful lot of good charitable work."

Funny, I don't recall Bernard Manning playing for us.

"I know for however long I am at Liverpool, whenever I leave I will have become a better manager and a better person because of Luis Suarez and for that I thank him so much."

Can you imagine any great manager ever saying that? Mental  Even Messi doesn't deserve such arse licking.

Oh fair enough. I obviously misunderstood. Luis > Messi obviously. :)

Pfft. I think Rodgers' remark about Suarez last month was even worse:

"He (Suarez) is a really intelligent man who fits the values of this club, which is all about humility, class and he has all of that."

Christ. Shankly ain't turning in his grave, he's kicking furiously at the coffin lid. Humility and class indeed.

Rogers and Rawk really are a match made in heaven. Who would have thought it possible to find a good manager that also has that rare penchant for spouting excruciating, vacuous wank.

to be fair, this bit fits with that Club. It is another matter what those 'values' are...

Ofcourse Suarez fits the values of Liverpool FC.

Not taking responsibility of their own horrible actions("It was Chelsea") is a trademark of the club and it's fanbase.

I noticed this bit the most, looks like he's already thought of leaving.

 It's going to end badly for Brenton. He's going to lose the one man who could have turned him into half Gandhi half Mandela.

Liverpool know how important Suarez is to them. They're going to finish outside the top 4 without him IMO and I think that's what will happen.

He strikes me as such a bullshitter, always saying what he knows people want to hear, be it the media or Liverpool fans. I just can't wait til the results start to stack against him and see how they react to his talk then

I'm sure he logs into RAWK before any sort of press work and just spouts shit they want to hear, everything he says just comes across as fake.

Falling into the same trap King Kenneth did. Not entirely sure why he thinks Lallana is an answer, he's had one good season and his team have finished 8th and the same goes for Lovren, he seems as though he's a mid table defender. For a club with league title and Champions League ambitions, his transfer targets seem a little unambitious. Perhaps that shows his real thoughts on whether Liverpool are back or not.

Well Suarez all but admitted clubs have been in contact with his agent.

He should've replaced the word "better" with "more successful".

Suarez is as good as gone if Real want him. Rodgers knows this.

The big question is do Real want him?

I have my doubts as they haven't even started the usual antics when they target a player. Maybe this year they are distracted by the CL.

They'd be daft to start any distractions before the Champions League Final is out of the way.

Oh lord, that is some hideous obsequiousness. For shame.
