Brentan Rodgers

If there's one thing you should *always* do as a football analyst, it's judge managers, players and teams based on a single game early in the season. So here goes.

Rodgers completely lucked out at Liverpool by inheriting Suarez and Sterling, and having Sturridge brought to the club allegedly against his wishes.

Those three, primarily driven by the world class performances of Suarez, went on to form a devastating attacking trio that almost fired Liverpool to a league title.

But with the loss of third-best-player-in-the-world Suarez, they are nowhere *near* as good, and plenty of Rodgers' own big money signings - Borini, Allen, Lallana, Aspas - have been questionable at best.

And so consequently, this season they may well find themselves sinking back to whence they came.

This was me in early September.

Still too early to say whether there's any truth in it?

He's a complete clown. All the stick they gave us over Moyes last season is coming back to bite them in the ass.

Fecking hell, Cabella should have made it 2, and that would have been game over. Remember that Brendan?

Imagine if Brentan would have been in charge of a Premier League winning side? Chelsea did the world of football a great service last year. It makes my skin crawl how close they were last year. It restored my faith in football when Gerrard slipped on his arse and it all fecked up in his face. Still gives me a chuckle even now.

You're still shit, we're just shit now too. The tables haven't turned, we've just decided to join you at yours.

 That defeat still raw Barney?

We'll see in May I suppose if they've turned and by how much. I think you know deep down that last year was a bit of a fluke season for both United and Liverpool though.

No, you've not decided anything. You've just returned to your original state of being shit. Don't get it twisted, we haven't knocked you off your perch of shitness just yet.

I'm getting annoyed with him off late, absolute turd that was from him today. His tactics and lineups are infuriating. His persistence with Balotelli over 90 mins in the lone striker role..His persistence with Balotelli full stop. Lambert with his customary "game changing" 15 minutes.. playing Glen feckin Johnson.. No Lallana again.. or Can, Markovic. He can't manage the rotation or the system right at the minute, and he needs to change it quickly.

He did a very good job last season. But anyone who thought Liverpool would push on was deluding themselves.

I always said the true test of a manager is sustaining consistent league finishes. Rodgers is struggling to find a balance in Eurpe and in the league.

Welcome back mate.

Regarding the shit table talk, we've sat at that one for just 1 season. Contrast that to your lot who left it for 1 and have promptly taken up the seat again this year :D

Was he delighted with the possession from the group? I didnt notice as I was fixated on his blinding white teeth and fake tan.

So, apparently Rodgers has new teeths and uses fake tan. Anyone confirm this?
