Not saying Rodgers has a point but they would have won that comfortably with Sturridge up there, Balotelli has a hilarious ability to make no contact with the ball in the 6 yard box when a goal looks inevitable.

Brendan's record at judging defensive players has not been that good in my opinion. I am not surprised he think Gerrard will grow into a centre back.

Agree. His lack of concentration is his main issue though. He just switches off, even slow strikers would get a few steps on him before he switched on and realised there was danger. Wouldn't be a good CB I don't think.
