Yea, he was a funny one, massively deluded and prone to more than a few clangers, Liverpool through and through you might say.
At least dumbstars stepped up to the plate this season.

I haven't said anything ridiculous results wise. You're just forming an opinion that keeps you happy.

I predicted you wouldn't beat WBA 10 days ago. No Barney comparisons on Monday night. In fact went very quiet in here. ;)

Banned, although we don't know why, I've heard he asked to be (can't blame him under the circumstances) but whatever the reason it's seemingly permanent.
Wouldn't be surprised if he had looked at last summer and just thought feck this, I ain't spending a year on the Caf after the cock up Rodge has made here.
Reading through the Juan Mata thread, I saw Mad Winger has been banned.

99% of your post match comments where ridiculous though, I've allowed 1 percent for correct grammar :)

Beautiful deflecting of blame by criticising Balotelli for half-time swap. Excellent show of man-management there. Firstly calling Balotelli a risk and then criticising him publically for everything. Well done.

The Mirror called him the next Paisley or Shankly, last season.
I am enjoying this. I really had fears that he might be the next big thing (and there are chances for that still) but with every day it looks more that last seasos 'success' was totally because of perfect exploits of a single player. He knew how to play Suarez and that went well for them, but since he has fecked off to Spain they look more like 'the true Liverpool'.

If things continue like this he'll have a meltdown soon enough that will put Rafa's 'fachts' at shame.

His team and tactics were brutally exposed last night. They were just kicking it long most of the time and hoping Sterling could beat a lot of players. Kick and rush doesnt work against Europe's top teams.

It doesn't look like they have any tactics this season. They look very similar to us during the Moyes era. No ideas, no imagination, just hope that they great players (which at the moment are limited to only Sterling - which is still just a kid) do some magic. Similar how we expected last season great things from RVP/Rooney and dare I say, so far this season from Di Maria.

Being exposed for the fraud he is. Sadly he started to believe his own hype after Suarez played at an absurd level last time around but that has gone and his limitations as a manager are being exposed time and time again. Pool must be the most disorganized side in the league, they don't look like they have a hope of holding their lines if the opposition is dominating the ball and that's just disgraceful at this level. People are lambasting their defenders but they all need to realize that the team set up is whats actually causing this calamity. He's the typical coach that focuses way too much attention on the offensive aspects of the game and basically nothing on defending, not even the set pieces are being taken care of for crying out loud.

His work in the transfer market might actually be worse that his coaching of the team structure. 200 mil pounds and the only player who looks of the quality needed at the very highest level is Sturridge(coutinho looks to have the potential to get there). So many duds with all that money its actually amazing that not many pool fans are questioning him more than they currently are.

Calling him a fraud is way OTT. He's still a very good coach although Liverpool would be wise to get a DoF as his transfer record is awful and also it seems he's clueless defensively.

Liverpool started last season perfectly fine without him. I think they sorely lacked Sturridge last night, still would have lost, but the number of times they got behind Real's defence they could have easily had two or three themselves had he been playing.

He's not a very good coach. All he's done can be done by any la liga manager of some the better teams there. Introducing some aesthetically pleasing football isn't all there is to football, its not half as difficult as some make it seem. The prem is just littered with some of the worst managers in football who know very little so its somewhat easy to stand out as a coach in this league especially if you come with something that resembles a philosophy. Its a bit late for that now isn't it, the cash is basically all gone and as we've seen with Spurs having a DoF is everything but a fool proof plan.

They could barely score more than a goal a game before suarez got involved and managed to get totally dominated by Southampton in the process. Sneaking in a few 1-0 results is everything but perfectly fine.

there's something really satisfying about seeing the smug twat taken to the cleaners. I bet even he didn't think the collapse would be as prominent when Suarez left

With Balotelli and no Allen + Coutinho playing shit I was thinking the same as you. Tonight I watched our match for the formation and movement, not the result. And I was relieved, almost happy with our progress. Against Hull its unlikely Balotelli will play (so we're back up to playing with 8 men instead of 7) and Johnson/Lovren might be dropped (up to 9 or 10 men). Hull won't be able to handle us if we play with more than 8 players.

I wanted to see no Johnson (got that wish) and no Balotelli. Plus Coutinho starting. Fcking Rodgers goes against any form of common sense.

His brain needs an alkaseltzer, its been farting all over the place recently. He'd better get his shit sorted and quick.

We turned up with 6 players today instead of the 8+ any sensible manager would have (i.e. me). No defending him today. Proceed with your David Brent comparisons, today he deserves it.

was this the hull game that 8 players could turn up and get a result in or was that another hull game?

Another full ninety for old Stevie, eh? He's running the poor bastard into the ground if you ask me.

How was Can, out of interest?

You had 25mil Lallana in his place.
