Hate admitting the first part but....

To go from the most exciting team to watch last season, to this, is pretty shocking.

Having said that, they were unlucky today. Everton were terrible and seeing Bobby Brown Shoes giving it large afterwards, was somewhat sickening

I really doubt they were. It seemed more a case of Liverpool fans going "our players are so good Barcelona want to sign them!" Agger is an alright defender on his day, but surely not someone Barcelona could have more than a fleeting interest in at the very most, and more likely none. He hasn't even been good for the last couple of years.

Barcelona definitely have been interested in the past. At his best (pre-Rodgers) he was an excellent defender.

That's what Liverpool fans were saying in the summer.

Quotes please. You're chatting absolute bollocks.

From one charlatan to another.

I'm not so sure how I'd find the quotes without wasting a lot of time however I do recall a few of you were talking about United's second place finish and then how Ferguson went on in the next season to win the premier league. Comparisons were drawn between a young Ferguson and young Rodgers.

He's certainly putting a bit of garnish on it, I don't recall any of you claiming that Rodgers was going to be the next Ferguson. A few of you were certainly drawing parallels between your season last season and Man Utd's season in 91/92 however, claiming that was far more similar than the season you last finished 2nd (and then ended up finishing 7th).

OK, he does look utterly ridiculous - and even more so when he puts the big bird/fish costume on. But I'm going to tentatively defend him here (for a laugh, anyway)

When he turns around, it's a distinct 2nd gesture and he's saying ''there we are'' rather than milking the triumph of Tim Howard leaving enough space to drive several buses through and the 1st bit is a pretty bog standard celebration. It's accidental that's he holding this Brenty is the Messiah pose for so long.

That's not even close to being the same as saying 'Rodgers is the next Ferguson'.

No it was not BS. If you remember the match, they scored off a couple of free kicks and Vida had his usual sending off against Torres. We were comfortably the better the better team in the first half before we decides to shit ourselves collectively for some reason.

You can't discount luck and goals from free kicks. Fergie probably said so to console his players, but a team that lost 4-1 can't be the be the better team of the day.

2 "fantastic" signings out of 12 is a very good record for a manager that supposedly wants to challenge for titles?

Don't forget he got the best out of Suarez and he turned Sterling into a great player in a short time.

They were seventh and didn't have Europe nor our financial clout, he's done well considering the circumstances. Every trainer/coach has a blind spot and good ones make up for their weaknesses. I don't like Rodgers and he has some flaws but he's a good manager.

Brenton The Wizard Rodgers..

What a bellend.

I hate Madrid but I like seeing Liverpool loose more. :)
Couple of Ronaldo's goals would be a salt to the wound.
But I support Barça, so Real Madrid's opponents have my support. Plus, it's probably in United's best interests that Liverpool is in a European competition of some sort come February next year. More games for them, more tiredness possibly, more injuries etc.

Made the same mistake a lot of managers make when they have money to spend. Buy a lot of players that aren't necessarily better than what they have.
1) Their real weakness was CDM, full back and ST positions. They won't address the DM position b/c it will question Gerrard's position in the team.
2) Suso and Coutinho are better than any of the attacking players they bought for a big fee
