Television Breaking Bad

Why are you doing this danny, why danny why?

It's what I prefer

anyway United is kicking off soon so I'll leave this thread peacefully and never return.....

(Until I decide to watch the rest should that day come)

I watched it right upto the point where gus was thinking about killing both Walt and Jesse whichever season that was. Since that point I didn't get any time to watch due to real life commitments and that was a couple of months ago, I actually forgot all about it tbh this thread reminded me.

I will probably go back to it at somepoint but as of now I'm not really fussed.

My opinion is correct because it's MY opinion. I don't have to like a tv programme just because everyone else does. I'm not saying it's a bad show by any means but it doesn't deserve the hype it gets (again my opinion). Some people think walking dead is boring and too drawn out but I've loved every episode of that so far. I'd rate that higher than BB.

Oh good lord almighty.

I used to think they were exaggerating when they'd say to me "well that dannyrhinos89 is just the worst" but now I know they were right. You are just the worst dannyrhinos89. The worst.
the worst

Walking Dead better than Breaking Bad?. There would not be many who agree with that view.

it's overrated in that it's constantly listed as the best show ever when in reality it's probably more top 10, but that doesn't mean it's not still a great show.

More top 3-5, but essentially true. Though that only really became an issue in the last season when people lost their fecking minds if you pointed out any of the silliness. Some of the uber silliness of seasons 2 and 3 meanwhile were accepted happily by an audience grateful for such good telly, rather than one aching to attribute it the top ranking on IMBD.

So here I am. Fashionably (in my mind) late to the party again. Was never interested in Game of Thrones, The Wire or Breaking Bad because they just weren't my cup of tea. I cried when I saw the final episode of The Wire, GoT has got me hooked for series 6 and AMC BT are starting the whole Breaking Bad series from ep1 which I've decided I will watch after all.

So much TV to watch starting this week. Tomorrow ALONE has Breaking Bad alongside new series of Walking Dead AND Leftovers season 2.

Then on Tuesday the Flash. Wednesday: You, Me and the Apocalypse followed by Supernatural. Don't even know where I'm going to fit popcorn and Jurgen in (though I could combine the two, hmmmm). Anyway I digress if I go blind does Redcafe do braille?

Just on the final few episodes. Hank reading a book sitting on the bog in Walts house....can't believe I'm almost done :(

I swear that gets posted in this thread every few months but with a different link lol

I watched Sopranos first, The Wire second and Breaking Bad last. All excellent, but nothing is touching the first two.

Just finished Breaking Bad. Started Season 1 three weeks ago  5 seasons in 3 weeks. What a binge.

Absolutely incredible show. People were saying how jealous they were of me that I was watching it for the first time. Enjoyed every episode from the first season to the last. Brilliantly casted, written and acted. Craston was just amazing, so was Aaron Paul and the guy who played Saul Goodman.

I'm gutted I've finished it now, and wished I had spread it a lot more to enjoy it over a long period of time. It was so tough though. I'd start an episode of 6pm, and would watch episodes until it was 4am  Not many shows would make me do that.

Breaking Bad - 10000000 out of 10.

I've watched it all the way through twice since I initially saw it and I still enjoy it just as much, you don't realise how much stuff you missed on your first viewing!

Would definitely recommend a rewatch in a few months time, and apparently the spin-off show Better Call Saul is bloody good too!

Meh, a good show but not special for me. Far too many filler scenes.

Binged it all in just over 3 weeks.

Best TV show I've ever watched. I'm yet to see The Wire and Sopranos though...

Watch sopranos next and then the wire. You'll have 3 "best show I've ever watched" moments then.

I also need to watch The Sopranos and The Wire when I have time. BB is the best I have seen so far thought

Breaking Bad is a very good show, great even, but it's not in the same league as The Sopranos and especially not The Wire.

TBH its all opinion, though I agree with you wrt the Wire (my fav show ever).

The Wire has been on my wishlist for ages. But since it's such a slow burner, I've been putting it off. Btw, @Rado_N , you have the devil's number :p

Finally got round to finish this. I made it onto the final series around the time the finale was on tv, so I heard a few spoilers on radio and also through social media, and gave it a break so I could watch it again with aClear head. To my surprise it didn't pan out the way I expected, or had thought in my head when I heard a few little spoilers and patched them together in my head.

What a show, loved it.

The spoiler I head mainly was "Walter went out in a blaze of glory" and that he had lost the trust of Jessie. So I just presumed it involved them 2 directly and something to do with Hank, their ending was so much better than the one in my head!!

1- Game Of Thrones
2-The sopranos
3- Breaking Bad
4- Walking Dead
5- Prison Break
6- Sons of Anarchy
7- The Blacklist
8- Boardwalk Empire
9- Bates Motel
10- Grimm

That's just my opinion as a viewer, not seen the Wire everyone says is good , I just can't get into it at all, I have tried.

I find it incredible how one can not get into The Wire. I have also watched Sopranos, Breaking Bad and Walking Dead on your list and (WD is not even part of this discussion lmao) I rate The Wire more than Sopranos and BB.

We humans are weird with our different tastes.

Isn't it !! I've honestly tried a few times with the wire, because everyone loves it, i don't know why I can't get involved, it is strange cause it seems that everyone who rates Breaking bad also loves the wire. Not for me though.

Not sure how Sopranos really gets into that list, a superbly deep show in with a load of "exciting" more flashy shows. I get the the first 2-3 seasons had a very Goodfellas vibe, but the last 50 or so episodes were mostly deep stuff transcending the genre. Odd list, PB and TWD are ehhhh.
