Television Breaking Bad

Loved this, loves series one of Better Call Saul. Brilliant feel to both of the shows and they have some of the best characters ever to be on tele.

He tried his best to look like an idiot while asking the question so he deserved it.

What's the context behind it? Was the guy being really rude or something? Or is Cranston just a complete prick?

Geez...it's just a joke. You need to calm down and take a trip to Belize or somewhere

Just seems like something a real ignorant prick would say. Especially given the lack of context -- he embarrassed the guy for no reason (that I can see).

It's what he's like i think. Seen him do stuff like this a few times, the audience would expect it i reckon.

It's just what he does. He usually comes across as an incredibly nice guy, but then drops those jokes here and there; the fact that it's not what you'd expect from someone like him is what makes it funny.

That, and your momma

We've got a Boring McBoringson over here.

Ah, fair enough, I was mistaken -- it is actually incredibly funny and/or witty.

Comedians do shit like this all the time
True, and I guess that's what it is. His crowd must know that he abuses people every now and then and get a kick out of it so attend his shows to be abused -- a bit like sitting up front at a Frankie Boyle gig or something.

I'm not a huge fan of Cranston/Breaking Bad, so I didn't realise that he was jokingly ignorant quite a lot. Could seriously backfire though, you'd imagine. What if that guys mother had recently died of cancer or something? Not so fecking funny then, is it.

Mate he probably just made the guy's life. He just got roasted by a world famous actor and is getting millions of views on the internet

It was clearly a joke.

Yeah, but commedians who pick on the audience are literally some of the worst people in the world. Along with commedians who's jokes all revolve around what people in their culture/country/race are 'like' compared to other countries/cultures/races, and Sean Walsh.

I don't see the humour tbh. Just sounds like an unnecessarily ignorant person.

I suppose you're a fan of the TV show and so the actor who portrays a fictional character on said TV show can do no wrong. You seem smart.

It's a mixture of the two I'd imagine -- feigned abuse for comedic effect.

Lighten up man.

There's nothing wrong with a harmless mother joke, I'm sure the guy wasn't embarrassed at all. I'd love to be punched in the face/insulted by Bryan Cranston.

Coming back for season 6. Milking it. should have left it well alone :(

It wasn't true a year ago, it's not going to have got any more true since then.

Every few months. Hopefully we wont even get onto a new page before the next one.
