Boehly is going to ruin Chelsea (hopefully)

Clearlake have been a disaster, like a combination of Bartomeu's Barcelona and the people running SVB and First Republic.

Signed far too many players, but almost no goals in the squad. Sacking Potter for Lampard the cherry on top. They couldn't control Tuchel’s issues, he had to go.

We could still go down, if other results conspire against us. Wouldn't surprise me given how the rest of this season went.

What were those?

Divorce, he lost the dressing room and respect of the players with his strange behaviour.

He's tried to seal the exact details as in his divorce documents.

I don't think anyone had ever spent more than £300m in a season before and then Chelsea this year spent over £600m.

I agree, I don't think it's getting as much attention as it should. It's a staggering failure of a season.

It's surely got to be one of the worst seasons in PL history.

Nah, even if you lose every remaining game it would still be very unlikely.

It's surely got to be one of the worst seasons in PL history.

It definitely worse than our Mourinho meltdown 2016 season. A top club struggling will usually bottom out at around 6th-9th place, which we've seen with Arsenal, Liverpool and United over the last decade. It feels like everyone associated with Chelsea (players, manager, fans) have just checked out of the season. We could legitimately end up around 15th place.

Those early season wins and the few when Potter came in really have saved them from the ultimate embarrassment.

The way they are right now, a gambling man would almost definitely put something on them to lose every game between now and the end.

If not for Tuchel's 10 points at the start of this season, they would be in 17/18th place with only 29 points. Legitimate relegation club. Deserved for all smug prick they think they are with those clueless yankees at the helm.
It's amazing to think he could have relegated a top 4 club. I mean, it surely wouldn't have happened but it's crazy to think they could have been in a relegation dogfight all while signing 9 figure players

Chelsea fans who actually cares what happens between now and end of season its over, relax and book you holidays . Why do you want a bounce now far to late. Take the no european involvement as a blessing and plan for next year with a free run at top 4 with no distractions.

You've got Arsenal, City, Utd and Newcastle in your last 6 games as well, so you've yet to play the top 4 a second time  It's mental.

I also can't really see you beating Bournemouth away but you might be able to draw against Forest.

If they had a handful less points I would be tipping them for relegation. Surely it will turn very toxic there next season if they spend big in the summer again (they will) and have another poor season.

The Chelsea fans have gone quiet, wonder why that is?

You couldn’t move for Bohley’s 10 year plan at the start of the season. I certainly hope this continues for 10 years.

We know how it goes, when you end a season like this, if you don’t start next season flying out of the traps then it gets super negative super fast. Mangers get sacked around Christmas and the season gets written off, then it dawns on everyone this isn’t a quick fix.

It's incredible. The 10 points from the start of the season might have genuinely saved them from a relegation fight.

What? We’re here mate.

Genius 4d chess by Boehly. The all star games funds the lower divisions, where Chelsea could end up.

The combined 11s have fallen away that’s for sure!
There are a lot of Bohley already runs a sports franchises so he knows what he’s doing posts that were spammed in here but I don’t really blame Chelsea fans for that.

Chelsea supporters were let down a bit by media as well to be fair. Most of the football journalists were just parroting whatever was coming out of the Boehly camp after the takeover without any scrutiny, so it was always going to be presented as something that would be good. Think that is also why it has also taken so long for a lot of the media to start calling out what has gone on at Chelsea, a slow climbdown from some of the journalists.

I don't really see it either. If anything, I can see us pulling off a shock win against those 4 teams you mentioned, preferably Arsenal ;)

Last night was a game we should have won really. Brentford weren't really doing much. But such is the case this season, teams rarely have to do much to beat us, hence why it feels like everyone at Chelsea have just mentally checked out of the season.

Crazy to think they will probably have more first team players than number of games next season.

It defies belief how catastrophic Chelsea's season has been. I hope you're all enjoying it because surely they'll never be this bad again, will they?

It's incredible. The 10 points from the start of the season might have genuinely saved them from a relegation fight.

All of their remaining games are against teams that are still in the fight for something too - could have gotten ugly if they had just 5 points left.

You must have a few on ignore because it seems everyone is still here.
Everybody except that Bluelion (?) dude. Haven‘t seen him eversince Potter got sacked.

Next season will be very interesting - total wildcard as to what they‘re capable of. Not gonna challenge for the title but it seems like everything‘s possible (with a „few“ changes to the squad).

Sacking Tuchel proved to be masterstroke move by Boehly all along.

Despite all the chaos this season I'm still cautiously optimistic about next season. There's still lots and lots of quality in the squad and under a more stable management there's every chance we'll bounce back sooner rather than later. And by bouncing back I mean fighting for places 3-5 in the table, not so much challenging for the title at least not for the next couple of years.

A big clearout in the summer is definitely needed to trim down the squad to a more manageable size and getting rid of everyone who either aren't good enough or who don't even want to be at the club anymore. Then of course a couple of key additions from the transfer market coming in, mainly a striker and a midfield partner for Enzo.

Now that it's almost certain the next manager will be Poch I don't have big hopes for him when it comes to fighting for the big trophies but I do believe he has what it takes to stabilize the environment and get us back in contention for the CL places quite soon. My hope is it will be a couple years of relatively smooth sailing under Poch and once things have calmed down a bit we can bring in a top manager to make the last push.

There's still a possibility Lampard could be made permanent...

No there really isn't.

It is not really a wonder why.

No there really isn't.

Frankly, a lot of your performances are just due to bad luck. It's not possible to look at that squad of yours and think they're only a 45points a season team. I'd get a terrible loss here and there but nothing other than bad luck (and elements of Bohelyness) can explain what's unfolded.

Watching Chelsea this season is akin to slowing down to see a car crash. It’s genuinely shocking.

At least ‘The Liquidator’ is an absolute banger of a tune.

I feel like they've got off lightly. Chelsea fans won't I bet but Liverpool and Spurs being shit, now coupled with Arsenal being bottle jobs mean there's so much shitness to go around people forget to talk about them.

Quite surreal watching their collapse. I mean even us at our lowest points weren't as bad as this Chelsea side.

Think Woodward and now Boehly make the most compelling case studies on how not to panic buy your way to success.

I wouldn't be expecting any improvement with Chelsea between now and the end of the season. Same happened with us and Ralf.
Everyone just gave up, waiting for the new guy to come in.
It really is from one extreme to another with Chelsea - at least its never dull!

I mean, he's doing Lampard numbers at Munich I think.

We're just cursed this season, we lost 2-0 last night and they had 1 shot on target for example.

I mean, it was not that bad bad under Tuchel i think. The drop in performance yes but going for Potter just kill it all. Even at his lowest, i still prefer Tuchel than Potter(a truly truly mediocre manager for me). You could do better than Potter at that moment though, just not sure who was available at that time.
