Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Personally I think his tackling is awful. I'm sure he wins a lot but he tries to win everything. Constantly sliding into challenges and taking himself out of the game.

This. It's good to watch when it comes off, but every tackle he makes seems to be a slide, and he doesn't win them all. He looks daft when it doesn't come off, and the opposing player is behind him with the ball whilst he lays on the floor.

I'm from Mumbai apparently:
They do seem to take issue with United having followers abroad, but have no issue with a financial doping sugar daddy from the UAE buying them shiny handbags and Christian Louboutins.

I thought this was pretty funny though
The "We're level on points with Man City cup" is out again today.

Fair enough. Good point that of taking himself out of the game with pointless slides. Although he averages more tackles than any other centerback in the league this season tackling is just a small part of a defenders game. I believe it was Rio that said that the best defensive display is when you don't have to make a single tackle. Positioning is way more important and Maldini was the master at it.

Announcing Guardiola mid season was fecking stupid. It's completely derailed their season IMO.

Yep I agree,
They've spent £60m+ on 2 CB's and will likely spend another £40m+ on Stones.
They need fullbacks in both positions.
Most of their midfield needs gutting. Fernando just isn't good enough for what they want to achieve. Toure will be 33 at the start of next season, Fernandinho is a good utility option but not much more than that. Fabian Delph is really not going to do much more than fill out a quota spot.
Then they've still got Nasri & Navas who should be moved on. Silva needs competition to be eased out, and they really need to find a goal scorer for the times when Aguero is injured. Bony & Iheanacho aren't going to win you CL's in his absence.

Finding all of those players in 1 transfer window is tough, securing them will be tough, especially when United, Chelsea, Arsenal & other clubs in Europe will be in the same markets.

The pull of Pep wont work on every player.

But you assume
Stones will go to city?

Of course its an assumption, nobody knows for sure.
It's likely that he's going to leave Everton next season andCity is the most logical choice given the size of money involved, the step up needed to justify the fee and the long term ambition and playing time.

I personally hope we don't get him as Smalling has cemented that right side of CB and wouldn't want to pay that much for him.

If Jose rocks up here in the summer, we might well put a bid in for him.

source please. I think thats bollocks considering we shipped out some of our biggest wages. Please explain how players like silva, Aguero, Toure are coming to city for anything other than money.

Can someone tell me who is in charge of the Man City signings? Is it the two ex Barcelona gimps?

Besides De Bruyne, I can't seem to think of another very good signing they made in the last four years. They relying on all the signings Mancini made as key players.

Yes they primarily are but they will not be the ones solely identifying players. I agree our recent transfer record is patchy at best. The only successful signings of the Pellegrini era I'd say are de Bruyne, Demichelis (our best defender for about 12 months) and Fernandinho (+ Iheanacho seemingly). Negredo was excellent before his injury and still helped us hugely in our league win, plus we sold him for a profit. Sterling needs to be assessed in a couple of seasons, at the moment the signs are positive if a little underwhelming. Guardiola will hopefully have more success, attracting even bigger names and improving our current players too.

I don't buy that. They were already ripe with speculation before they made the announcement. The Chelsea players will continue to play for Hiddink even though they know he will be gone in the summer.

Its possible but again unlikely, as Jose was bidding for Stones for the Chelsea squad to replace Terry.

Stones isn't going to displace Smalling, isn't comfortable on the left side of CB, and we still have options in Rojo, Jones, McNair, TFM etc.

That was entirely Pellegrini's doing. I do not think it is an adequate excuse personally, our form was shit before it and it's the same problems that are plaguing our game. Injuries, under-performing players and tactical naivety domestically are what's cost us this year.

The man we should be going all out for is Laporte IMO.

United wage bill - £203m
Man City wage bill - £193.5m

I must have missed the news that all United players play for their undying love for the club and are happy to accept a modest wage in return for this.

You haven't factored in contractually mandated birthday cakes.

He seemed to go a bit wonky after the run of games he was facing in the two weeks, and that team he put out against Chelsea was a proper tantrum act.

But to be fair, as far as his CV is concerned, a high CL finish/final will look better than a top 4 PL finish. As long as he was out of the title race, why should he give a rats ass about CL qualification next year?

They're an angry bunch on bluemoon. I was bored earlier this week and wanted to see some bitterness so went to RAWK but there wasn't any, luckily bluemoon was there to provide plenty.

inferiority complex
noun
  1. an unrealistic feeling of general inadequacy caused by actual or supposed inferiority in one sphere, sometimes marked by aggressive behaviour in compensation.

I find them quite amusing. I see it as flogging a dead horse. Even though they aren't going to ever reach the dizzy heights as they did under taggart , the media must think they're still sweeping up every cup out there and are the best team in the world. Like I said they can roll this massive turd in glitter for the rest of my days, we're celebrating winning another trophy not another sponsorship deal with the biggest noodle company in Indonesia.

What is their obsession with our media coverage? I swear if you keyword search 'rag media coverage' on bluemoon, you'd come up with about six thousand hits.
Literally every other page in their United thread is someone ranting about United's media coverage.

They are raving about this Rashford lad like he is the second coming, 2 fecking games !! really they go overboard.. I mean let's see how he adjusts now teams know his weaknesses and not such an unknown quantity. And when the fame gets to him, girls start wanting to date him, the press try to mess him up.. the trappings of fame.

Federico Macheda. Where is he now!?

Are we?

Forgive us for getting excited about an 18 year old scoring 4 goals in his first two games for the club in a clusterfeck of a season.

If you had played this young kid Rashford from the start of the season you would be comfortably top of the table now and still in the Champions League. Actually you probably would've won the league Cup too. He is genuinely the best young talent we've ever seen in this country and I'm fully expecting him to take us to Euro 2016 glory in the summer!

Interestingly he already has a better minutes to goals ratio than Messi who is probably the only footballer that comes anywhere close to him in terms of ability. Having said that it's almost an insult to Rashford to compare Messi with him and according to internet reports when Messi was recently asked what it was like to be the best footballer in the world he simply replied "I don't know, ask Marcus Rashford".

erm, okay...

According to any number of giddy rags today Muffin Dopey was 'unplayable' last night. They forgot to mention he was up against the worst right back in Europe. These feckwits still haven't twigged that he's a classic flat track bully. 5 of his 7 goals this season have been against shite like Brugge (2), Midgetland (2) plus one in the defeat at PSV. Only 2 in the Premier League (Sunderland and Watford) and none in either of the domestic cups. He's utter garbage yet these thick rag twats reckon he's 'turned a corner' after last night.

Always so upset...

Yeah funny bunch, their United thread is hilariously bitter and angry, sometimes I forget the damage all those years did, I sometimes feel bad and wish I could give them hugs so they weren't all angry but they'd probably just tell me "feck off you rag cnut go back to mumbai" or something like that.

It used to be 'feck off back to Surrey' in my day. We have moved on.

Well as long as he doesn't know where you live, you should be safe.

Yeah, but he'll probably end up tracking down some unsuspecting poor sod in Mumbai and overwhelm him with all the petals in the world.

Care to elaborate on why the claim that injuries have impacted negatively on City's season is so hilarious?

Might be because our injuries are so woeful, that it's funny seeing other fans talk about their team's injuries as a hindrance when compared to us.

Both those players could have won trophies with big clubs around europe in much nicer climates than the North West of England.

So it's likely City paid them and their clubs a lot more money than was on offer from the other clubs who were after them. Which is fair enough for the most part.

"I've been furious earlier this season, but now it's just depressing. Losing has become a habit this season. Summer can't come soon enough. I just hope we can squeeze through with 4th place.

End of an era. Bring on Pep. Bring on the new badge
."

The best word I can say to describe this is....."BOOM!" hahaha

Wow i have heard a lot about you. Frankly I thought you were a myth like chupacabra that people claim exists but actually don't.

It's been a very strange season mate. All of the top clubs have been fecking shite. A consistent City, Arsenal or United would be walking the league this year.

Not coming in the Top 4 - it's ok!!

There's an awful lot of hysteria going on at the moment regards the Top 4 finish and I wondered if there's anyone else out there who is just not too worried if we don't finish there?

Suppose we didn't finish in the top 4? Pep would inherit the same squad regardless of the league finish and would still be expected to either win the league next season or come very close, otherwise he would be judged as having a mare. So, at worst, we are out of the CL for one season.

Surely we can cope with this?

Also, if Pep has a clause that means he doesn't come, then he's a total whopper but I just don't think that will happen.
