Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Lol, they really are a vitriolic bunch of feckers! Love it when they turn on each other!

Really hope Sterling can continue being completely shit.

Said it immediately they announced Pep. Silva doesn't strike me as a Guardiola player. Mata isn't as good but has twice the work rate. Furthermore can't see Pep fitting KDB and him in the same starting IX.

I remember writing a lot on here at the start of the season that they were going to be the ones to struggle this season because for all the hype over their signings - De Bruyne, Sterling and Otamendi - they'd failed to address their overwhelming problem, an ageing spine that is injury-prone, already past its peak and only going further downhill. That's Aguero, Silva, Toure and Kompany, a faultline right down the middle of the pitch. Then I spent most of the season feeling a bit silly about it because Chelsea were the ones who horribly collapsed whereas City looked really strong, with Aguero indomitable as ever at times and De Bruyne starting so well.

But those are definitely the problems causing this on-off form, even if it has taken a while to really set in. I said that the one thing they really needed to do to head off this issue was put all their transfer season eggs in one important basket: replacing Touré with Vidal, Pogba, or at least something close to that sort of quality. Touré is ahead of the curve compared to those other players I mentioned, and he's the one that really costs them because even in his prime he was a luxury who probably quietly weakened them almost as much as he loudly strengthened them. Drafting in someone like Vidal would have shown up just how little contribution Touré makes over the course of 90 minutes. It would have been like adding a whole extra box-to-box midfielder on top of Touré.

If they want to start addressing this problem before it really hurts them, then Guardiola's first priority in the summer needs to be to get Pogba on board, which should be perfectly within his power. Then they won't have to ask already somewhat average players like Fernandinho and Fernando to do twice as much work as normal to cover for Touré.

That was a bad decision to announce Pep will take over. Such a crucial point in the season. Now no one is motivated. Not even the manager. They are becoming a circus just like Madrid. Pellegrini was doing a fine job for them given how competitive the PL has gotten these past few seasons. You give him the chop and announce someone else right when the title race is heating up. Now I don't think even he is motivated. I hope his parting gift to Pep is the Europa League. That would be hilarious!

Not really sure announcing Pep makes a difference. They were crap in the big games before the announcement.

Also once Pep said in December he is leaving Bayern, we all knew where he is going. Heynekes didn't have this problem, but he did have a better squad. And that's what it comes down to. This City team is massively overrated and they wasted more money on shit than us.

Biggest legend at the club a knob head musician..

I can't get my head around it. Every time they need to trot someone out, to represent the club, it's him!!

Him and fecking Summerbee were in the dressing room on Sunday, celebrating the league cup win.....The feck is Gallagher doing there?!

Crafton tweeted they haven't won two games in a row since mid October.
Before today the last time we won two in a row was mid November.
Over the last 15 games we have taken about the same points as them despite having a 1 win in 9 sequence at some point.
They have lost by a three goal margin I at least three times this season with ten games still to play.
Were handsomely beaten by two goals against Leicester and Stoke. Should have been far more in those two games.
Level on points with an injury ravaged United side having a car crash of a season.
Haven't won a game against a top 8 side this season, losing 9 of 12

I know LVG has taken a lot of stick but considering the injuries we have and the level of attacking talent in their squad, Pellegrini is doing just as bad a job.

when he was interviewed some member of staff ran over and gave him the trophy!

He'll be on the bench soon

Otamendia is fecking trash. Maybe he's just adjusting to the pace of the PL, but he's honestly been shocking. The amount they've spunked on him and Mangala without either providing any demonstrable improvement or solidity is shocking.

Pep has his work cut out for him.

Over €100m worth of CBs there. Someone needs sacking for that.

They've done the right thing in buying the centre backs as they can't rely on Kompany for much longer.

Shame for them they've bought complete flops

When comparing his performance to Blind tonight, the later put in a world class performance.
Blind main problem was passing to opposition and was a rare off day in hat regard. Otamendi' positioning is pup standard. Was all over the place against Liverpool.

Mangala and Otamendi for £40m each is it? Damn they did look like good CBs outside the premier league but boy have they sucked in England.

If I had to choose between Otamendi, Mangala, Demichellis and Fosu-Mensah to play CB for us until the end of the season, I'd be opting for the young fella.

They'll be grand lads, they have that new youth training facility, they're way ahead of us on that front. Pep will mould them into Europa league champions in no time

Its every young lads dream to play at shitty to a half full stadium.

Imagine the youth we'd bring through if we had a facility like that, shame to be just left with the scraps that we have.

I mean, a City youth grad would have had 5 against the Arse.

Yea I hear ye, depressing lookingat our youth set up. We're so far behind City in almost every department, not just youth development and facilities! Ahwell, I guess thats just part of being a mid table club..

Guess you haven't been reading the debates (borderline shouting matches) we have been having here on LVG's fate.

Otamendi is not bad, jury is still out. Mangala is clearly a bust. No need to say anything about Demichellis.

Otamendi is a great player if you have the correct tactics to suit his strengths. But not every team will do that and rightly so. He is a great tackler but over commits sometimes and positionally not very good. He was allowed to play his game at Valencia with a flexible tactic that filled his void when he went hunting. 3-5-2 changing to 4-4-2 suits him. Basically he needs a license to leave his line. He has had some good games and some bad ones with City enough to show what he is capable of and what he is not.

If we beat then to 4th, it would fecking brilliant. Imagine Pep and City in the EL :D

Um, yes I have and I'm not saying we're perfect but they're just over the top with their language and personal attacks. There's nothing wrong with debates and why shouldn't we be debating van Gaal's future, he's not exactly been brilliant has he ?

But we don't stoop to the level of vitriol you see on Bluemoon!

I see Mani still stalks this place, haven't made a post about Bluemoon for months yet he's bang on it the moment I post some posts

Drum roll ladies and gents.....They've won a game....she's back!!

I dont know what he has to gloat about, last time I looked they had the same points as us.

Going to be interesting if they dont finish in the top four isnt it.

Lol it's true, they'd die for one win in the league at the moment. Luckily for them though, they've got Villa next.

They'd probably win the title for most mentally weak side in the league along with Arsenal. Since that infamous QPR title win their mental strength in the league has been appalling.
