Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

I still say they'll struggle to fit Silva Sterling and De Bruyne in the same team. Navas isn't great but him keeping the width gives Silva the space to dominate. If De Bruyne gets chucked out right, he won't keep the width and congest the middle. Making it harder for Silva. Kind of the same reason Nasri and Silva didn't really work together.

Silva throughout his time at City has rarely started in a central position, it's only this season and the end of last that he's done so for consecutive matches as far as I recall. Silva and Nasri did work well together, the issue with their partnership is they are similar players who lack pace and directness.

I think the form Silva has shown centrally this season has been fantastic and up there with any form he's had since he's been at City.

I haven't watched much of De Bruyne wo don't know how he plays but I can see where he likes to play and it seems to be in the same areas as Silva has been thriving so far this season. So say Silva gets put on the right, maybe it upsets the balance.

Kind of like don't fix it if it isn't broken. Or maybe I'm hoping it won't work :nervous: lol.

They didn't take the weekends results very well, some are shitting themselves that we're two points behind.

This thread is always a disappointment compared to the RAWK thread. Only one quote from after the West Ham defeat, it's fairly textbook football-fan-on-the-internet rant.

Where's the conspiracies and the ragsragsrags?

Trust me, it is quite embarrasing, I'll post some tonight when I'm home.

They were complaining about only 4 mins being added on, how the ref screwed them over and it should have been 5mins.

Some time over the next few seasons, we'll win the league and they're going to go mental(er).
Most ABUs (which seems to be most City fans) will and tbh, if there's one thing I've learned over the last while, it's that I took it easy on those opposition fans.

to be fair to them I was sort of surprised he only gave 4 minutes as well (and I don't even remotely mind it)

Well after wankfest over City in the start of the season and all the troubles we had (GK situation, bad attacking play and striker problems) it is quite surprisingly that we are just 2 points behind, scored 3 in last two games and looked quite good and they had a hard time beating Palace week ago and lost their last game.

We also had some tough games, Tottenham, Swansea and Southampton away and Liverpool at home so as Carragher said after our match things look much better for us now then they looked at the start of the season or after drawing against Newcastle or losing at Swansea.

In comparison Chelsea was 3 points infront of Southampton at this stage of the season last season and 5 points infront of any real title contender (City).

I still wouldn't be shitting myself if I was them though. Watched the entire City-West Ham game and to my eyes it wasn't a case of West Ham putting on a superb defensive shut-out (Reid aside) or City struggling to come up with ideas, it was just one of those days where one team batters the other one and comes away with nothing. Nine times out of ten that performance earns them a win.

Well similar to us against Newcastle then. And you could argue that apart from that few minutes when Swansea scored 2 goal we were the better team. But in the end result counts. Ofcourse it is too soon to say who wil challenge and who will not but at the moment they are not running away and points will be dropped from all top sides, you never know how the table will look like at the start of the march when you could say who is title contender and who is not.

west ham played well enough in the first half, the full 2nd half was complete back to the wall though

It was a similar day at Crystal Palace as well. Very tough place to go mind, but as the game wore on, it was City piling forward, but they lacked that final ball to create something clear cut. A very lucky goal won it for them. Silva is irreplaceable for them.

Why do they shit themselves so much about us?

They can't get over the fact they are only 2 points clear of us, we've played 6 games ffs - how much of a lead do they want before they can stop shitting themselves..

They're truly worried, it makes me laugh. If we were as shit as they say we are, why have they got the runs?

The fact that those cnuts will go 2 points behind us today (we all know they'll fluke a win) is, quite frankly, embarrassing considering the levels of performance and the difference in quality between the two sides.

I fecking hate them. And it's the fact that we could have fecked our lead over them that's making me feel sick about that loss yesterday.

Infuriating.

And to think if they win today and sat against Sunderland and we fcuk up at Spurs they could be above us,what a horrible fcuking thought especially with the difference in the football being played...

Yep. Utterly sickening.

Even with our 100% start I thought they'd fluke their way to the title.

If I'm honest, a win today would confirm my worst fears.

United are 2 fecking points behind us and look at the difference in football played

They will finish above Chelsea & Arsenal for sure but hopefully not above us.

I'm slightly edgy, we have to focus and win against the Spuds.

They will beat Sunderland next week without getting out of 1st gear. But their 4 games after that consist of 3 away games at Arsenal, Everton and Palace, with us at home in the middle

In the meantime we've got Newcastle, Bournemouth and Norwich at home. We've got to capitalise on that and be 7 or 8 points ahead of them after that run of games

Those last few days business for them with keeping De Gea and getting Martial will be immense business for them. De Gea alone is 10+ points difference imo for them, he will mean the 3 points for them a few times instead of 0 or 1 or 1 point instead of zero.
And Martial just keeps scoring as a very young striker with zero PL experience.

fecking Woodward.

Still if Pellegrini does what is the minimum with our squad what has imo all the experience to win the league in style there is no need to worry. They still need a lot of experience as Depay, Martial, Darmian etc has zero PL experience, they still need lot of time to gel as a team as well as many many new signings in their match squad all the time.

But it makes me angry after our fantastic start we have only 2 points more them. Could be worse if we fail to beat Spurs next week. If we needed any added motivation now we might have it if last seasons failure wasnt enough.

They have a knack for grinding out results. That's the concern. After our superb start they're only two points behind.

United are going to be our main threat - been thinking it for a couple of weeks. Them keeping de gea was crucial and let's be fair this young kid has stepped up in the last two games.

We need to be very very careful not to dismiss them. Loose or draw at Spurs and they will be level or above us.

We need no reminder of how dire their performances were when they won the title, but let's not forget we had ourselves to blame during that season.

I think we've every chance of finishing ahead by a good margin. The Rags aren't good enough to lead a challenge from the front, so they'll be relying on quite a few dropped bollocks/implosions by other clubs as well.

If they are our nearest challengers then we will be champions before April is done. We all seem to be getting a bit giddy cos it's them.

They seem to have incredible good fortune and the ability to get results when they don't really deserve it, they are also or it appears to be more clinical than us, they have less shots at goal than us and a far superior completion rate, they did last year and seem to this year also. I am hoping that the vermin's luck runs out because surely they can't keep getting the breaks they do.

They are back to where they were under whiskey nose in his last season. Play shi*e, but by hook or by crook, scrape a win. People keep saying they haven't played anybody yet but i bet you a pound to a penny that Spurs and Liverpool don't bend over as easily for us. It's always been the same for us. Teams REALLY want to beat us and prove a point whereas when the rag tops turn up they don't play with same intensity! Got a funny feeling it will be us and them closely followed by Chelsea going for the title.

How can they be so much more clinical than us with inferior players. People can go on about luck being on their side which maybe slightly the case but something is mentally not right with our players when in goal scoring positions. Aguero reminds me of Torres after all his niggly injuries and if he doesn't come back to form we are truly fkd.

When you compare the way we have played to the way the rags have played, the mind boggles when you realise we are only 2 points ahead of that shower of shite.

Agree completely.

It's absolutely, ridiculously frustrating. I hope they collapse over christmas into the irrelevance they have been over the last few years but I won't hold my breath.

Teams play their reputation and collapse as soon as there's even a glimpse of rag hope. It's the most annoying thing about football.

Year on year they are gifted points by sycophantic opposition, sycophantic refs and sycophantic linesmen.

feck OFF UNITED, YOU STUFFY SHIT cnuts.

They'll be snapping at our heels all season long.

They are not as bad as we would like them to be, sadly.

We may be better than them, but they are like a virus you can't get rid of.

Reminds me of 2011-12

Like that season, we'll play much better football but they'll stick to us like virus.
Hopefully we don't have a mid season collapse this season and end up letting it run as close as that season.

You're all bottle merchants.

They're shit and got a few lucky breaks and now we have some literally ridiculous posts in here.

I swear Luke Shaw's injury has been talked about more than our last title win. I feel bad for the lad but people are acting like he died. Pundits seem to have a ready made excuse if united lose, they will just say "the players are still affected by what happened to Shaw." It feels like they are willing to use a players horrific injury in order to appease united fans in the event that they lose a game which just feels so wrong ethically.

That Mani guy is back, but on Bluemoon this time

VanGaalEra if you're reading this thread, which I'm sure you are, then can I just point something out to you.
WE ARE NOT SHITTING IT THAT YOU'RE 2 PTS BEHIND US as your post on ragcafe pointed out.
Thanks petal.

Apparently, I got him banned

He sounds a bit of a needy cnut if you ask me. I pm'd him on ragcafe (I know I know but I joined in 2011 after we won the fa cup to gloat like feck but it didn't happen. ) anyway I pm'd him and asked what his bluemoon name was and signed off with cheers bertie and a kiss .....the weird cnut got all precious and got me banned.....absolutely devastated I was. Ha ha

Public enemy number one :)

4000 posts on a football forum in 14 months, has van gaal era ever satisfied a woman? And does his post code have M in it? Two big questions of the day.

Yeah I was mainly talking about the second half. Obviously they did well to get themselves into the 2-0 lead, but the fact they held onto it wasn't particularly to do with the quality of their defending (or any deficiency in City's attacking), they were just very lucky.

The hatred in that forum is unreal. It makes great reading tbh but I feel sorry for them because they are so obsessed.

Whenever we play they give us so much coverage. They are a blessing in disguise

In fairness the Shaw injury has been talked about more than their title win hahaha!!:lol:

Just goes to show how much bigger we actually are.

I love how we were lucky to win a league with 5 games left and they deserved their title won on goal difference and with a goal in the last minute against QPR team who in the end celebrated the win with them....

If you asked them which of our title wins in the Premier League era we actually deserved based on performance and cutting edge, they'd probably hard pushed to name one. They might let us have 1999 through gritted teeth, but they could probably find a few heads on there to argue against it.

Quite simply, we've never deservedly won the league. We've always been shit, but we benefited from other teams being fractionally shitter. And the refs, of course.

Raging about Van Gaal Era on fecking bluemoon. Incredible gobshites they are

In the end they are idiots for me and i hate them even more then Liverpool. I still can't believe that their game was still played 5 mins after every other games has finished and when QPR players knew that they don't need points to stay up. The whole point in playing all last games at the same time is to prevent what happened their, i really don't believe i will ever forget that match...

I hope so much that our team can win the tittle this season just infront of them, it will be such satisfaction after all the wankfest over their team.

Poor @VanGaalEra Your the most hated 'rag' on bluemoon. How you browse there without losing your sanity (and your hearing for that matter) I don't know!

VanGaalEra deserves an award. :lol::lol::lol:

You're my hero

@VanGaalEra You're now internet famous

I feel like I've won the internet fellas. Should bow out on this note.

We should have a Rag of the month award for whoever gets mentioned on that site the most.

They don't seem too well adjusted.

That's brilliant to read @VanGaalEra !

This poor sod doesn't get it..this has been the case for United the last 20 years, and winning the league a couple of times with the help of some laughable sheiks won't change that. They really are shitting their pants.

I was going to pick out this gem as well. What is laughable is that it is the complete opposite that is true here. Everybody wants to beat United, this is what has made some of our titles all the more impressive. Fergie even called it when Keegan lost it. No one cares about City at all. When United are in town we help fill stadiums and that's because people want to see us beaten, fair enough. City do not have that mantle at all. City get an easy ride most of the time.
