Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

Wow there's some spectacularly dim people on this thread.

Not_many_people_hating does not equal not_many_give_a_shit.

It's a good indicator. You're only relevant to anyone because you won the lotto. We're hated by everyone because we're the most successful team in the land. Do you think you were the 4th most hated team in England when Shaun Goater was banging them in in the old division 2.

Why be a city fan on a United forum if you didnt give a shit?

Know why im not on a City forum? Even you can get this... (Though on second thought probably not)

The irony in Ronetta calling everyone else dim.

Is everyone who thinks I have dropped a clanger, TRYING to be spectacularly dense? Or is it just natural to you lot?

How can no-one understand the difference between not being hated and not be cared about? Really it's not difficult to differentiate between the two, and yet there are dozens on here who seem incapable of grasping that.

And then you have Señor - with the handle "Humungous twit" - saying it's ironic that I called people dim, when in fact they ARE being dim.

Now THAT is ironic. Fecking hilarious :-)

I didn't say *I* didn't give a shit. Do keep up.

@Ronetta it was you who used the hating us stats as a proxy for how much people cared. So if you are now dismissing the link, youll have to explain what your original point was.

A summary for those who dont want to scroll back:

Scarley: Nobody gives a shit about City.
Ronetta: Unlike United. Lots of people give a shit about United, look at these stats I have that show how much everyone hates you. I wonder why that is.
RedCafe: Er... precisely.
Ronetta: Youre all stupid, what has giving a shit about something got to do with hating it?
RedCafe: Damn. We're not used to this level of intellectual dexterity here.

Reminds me the liverpool fan who lost argument with imaginary united fan.

I always find that you have to care about something in order to hate it. If I don't care about something then I treat it with indifference.

The sort of indifference that would amount to about 6% on a survey of giving a shit.

No I didn't. You've just invented that. I just posted a link saying you were largely hated by non-United supporters.

So if you are now dismissing the link, youll have to explain what your original point was.

I am not dismissing it. It just doesn't say what people on here are concluding it says.

OK

Ronetta: Unlike United. Lots of people give a shit about United, look at these stats I have that show how much everyone hates you. I wonder why that is.

RedCafe: Er... precisely.

Yes, precisely, lots of people hate United, as per the article. The article also says not many people hate City. I note it doesn't say how many people like City or are interested in City or uninterested in City.

Everyone with no brain wants the article to say no-one cares about City, but unfortunately it doesn't say anything of the sort.

Ronetta: You're all stupid, what has giving a shit about something got to do with hating it?

That's not what I said. I said NOT being hated is not the same as NOT being cared about. Only 8% of supporters hating City does not mean only 8% couldn't give a shit about City. Anyone who can't differentiate the two positions, is a bit stupid.

RedCafe: Damn. We're not used to this level of intellectual dexterity here.

Evidently some are not.

Agreed.

Now where does it say if you DON'T hate, you necessarily DON'T care?

The problem is that Talksport only polled 8% of Mike Summerbee.

Unlike United, who lots of people give a shit about.

http://talksport.com/magazine/featu...10-most-hated-clubs-talksport-poll-192254?p=9

With a storming 42.1% of the vote, compared to 2nd place Liverpool on 20.7% (and City with a miserable 6.8%), United are by a country mile the most hated club in England. I wonder why that is.

being champions, and not even being able to sell out your ground is quite telling.

Oh wait...it's always down to "traffic problems" whenever I watch a stream of your games and see tonnes of empty seats. No it's not.

The traffic problems are obviously caused by the seats trying to get in.

Er, yes it does.

Er, no it doesn't. 100 people are asked if they like ice cream. 8 people say they hate it.

How many people are passionate about ice cream? 8?

What about the 63 people who said they LOVE ice cream? 71 people care about ice cream. 8 people hate it and 63 people love it.

You are saying only 8 people give a shit about ice cream. Clearly you are wrong.

Agreed.

Now where does it say if you DON'T hate, you necessarily DON'T care?

You're correct (despite my white text shenanigans) The problem is using the survey to back up your argument gives everybody the perception that you've argued against yourself.

The article also says not many people hate City. I note it doesn't say how many people like City or are interested in City or uninterested in City.
Help me out here, mate. Apparently I'm a bit dim. Didn't you post that article to somehow prove that people cared about City? Or was it just to say 'See, people hate you guys a lot, checkmate, son!'. Which would in turn be an entirely different thing to what was being discussed.
