Blow it all on Torres (before Chelsea does)

Woy would accept an offer. He already said he hopes the job does not ruin his friendship with Sir Alex.

Torres will be a peace offering :smirk:

feck no hes way to injury prone and hes a scouser feck off!

no chance, first liverpool will never sell him to us and hes too injury-prone.

Saw something on the BBC sport website about Lawro saying selling Torres and Mascherano could be good for the club. Trying to spin what he considers the inevitable?

Can't be arsed to read the whole thread...has anyone suggested a swap deal with Rooney going the other way? Could be SAF's revenge against Rooney - they get our cnut we get theirs simples.

feck that. I can just about tolerate Nani as it is, signing Torres would be too much fannyness on the one team for me. On the same scale I can just about tolerate Michael Owen, signing Torres would be too much Dipper on the one team for me.

Hernández has the potential to be just as good anyway, and at a tenth of the cock value. Personally I hope some foreign team come in and undercut Chelsea and Liverpool accept it out of spite.

And yes, after all the shit I got about Rooney, I am absolutely Kevin Keeganing this.

Spending 40m (+ a massive salary) to get Torres would leave a massive hole in our transfer kitty. We don't need that since we've got Rooney, Berba, Hernandez, Welbeck and Macheda. Id rather see us spend good money in midfield and the goalkeeping department. VDS will have to be replaced while we still need a midfielder and possibly another winger.

Yeah United need to strengthen the midfield not upfront

Don't need him
Don't want him

Berbatov - Rooney - Hernandez - welbeck and macheda next season up front for us please

You can't sustain a squad with too many players up front

If we blow 40 million it will be on sneijder

Or Modric, I could see SAF spending a king's ransom on him

Scott Tenorman mus Die is the best Soith Park episode ever

We already have two of the league's best strikers, a more than able deputy and two very promising young strikers, plus Michael Owen in reserve. Shelling out a sum like this and breaking our already hefty transfer record, for another centre forward (who has serious injury problems) would be counter-productive.

Don't need him and won't get him but to just imagine a Rooney Torres combo in top form

I think we should give it a go. Doubtful it would happen but could 'Pool really resist say 55 million pounds?

This one's for you, Raoul.

Our forward like is functioning beautifully. Chelsea are welcome to the moody, moany crock. Especially at such prohibitive prices.

Pointless thread really because Liverpool wouldn't sell him to us. And after all his under-achievement of the past year, do we care? If he goes to Chelsea and turns it on, so be it. Don't like him anyway. He has the kind of face you want to slap.

1. Sure we do, it's in the prospectus.
2. The more the merrier
3. Saha, Hargreaves.
4. Never say never. The boy wants Champions League football.5. There's no doubt about that.

Indeed, he might not get that at Chelsea. :D

I don't really want Torres, injury prone. we have Chicharito who has the same pace/ flair is a excellent prospect and might bypass him, Rooney and Berbatov are better footballers, and some real talent in Macheda, Welbeck, Diouf, King etcetera.

He would be a good signing, but we can spend £50m far better. We should make a offer though just to piss Liverpool of

You're blinded mate, Chicarito would be lucky to get near his level, he's as good as an in form Rooney and better than an in form Berbatov. None of our youth was near his level at that age.

Considering the team he played with at Pool, his goal scoring record was sensational. He'd have scored an absolute feckload with us or Chelsea in those years.

His injury proneness is his only problem.

EDIT: Just like to add, it'd never happen, no way.
