Gaming Bloodborne (PS4)

Yeah she does disappear when you beat Vicar Amelia. You were supposed to talk to her in the cathedral ward beforehand and she mentions the mad hunter in the Tomb of Odeon. When she disappears you go off to the tomb to fight the hunter with her. There is a consequence now:

She will appear later in the game trying to hunt you (I think!!)

She appears at Ameila's altar and is harder than Michael Jackson at a nursery.

How did you all end up fighting Eileen?

My quest went like this....
1. Met her above the sewers.
2. Saw her fighting another hunter at the Tomb Of Odeon and I joined in to help.
3. Met her just outside the Grand Cathedral, after the Vicar Amelia fight, she was slumped in a pool of blood and she told me not go in because the hunter inside was dangerous.
4. Killed the hunter inside, who is an absolute bastard and went back out to her and she was grateful and then she died.

Jesus, how much grinding have you done?

The beckoning bell is for pussies :p

feck that.

I'm about level 50, just reached the reborn one.

I hate grinding, the only time I do is when I'm low on blood.phials. You don't need to level every stat, just focus on ones that improve your build.

Beat the Shadows of Yarnham last night on my first attempt after a bit of a break (having failed the last four at the weekend there). Seems the trick is to get the one with the fireballs killed first, because hes a much bigger cnut than the other two. It was pretty late though when I got on so didnt stay to get my arse kicked by those feckin insect things in the next area.

Also tried to look for Eileen but couldn't find her, she wasn't at the balcony in central Yarnham (I've definitley met her once there) and wasn't at the Catherdrad Ward. Though I've got the wooden shield im not too sure if I've opened the shortcut to the grand cathedral so that'll be my first port of call tomorrow.

I killed the sword guy first because he was the most aggresive and therefore when we went for me he was a bit further from the other two so I could hit him without fearing the others getting me.

I did the same. The Dhalsim attacks in their second stage were more tricky than rolling out of the way of a fireball.

Who the shit is Eileen.

She's a hunter. You can meet her at various points, the first place you'll find her is in the sewers at the start then she moves. Depending on if/when you speak to her can change how she affects the story and interacts with you.

She has a side quest, you get her blades and outfit available to buy if you complete it. Also a special rune.

Anyways, does anyone know where I can get a blood dreg for the Queen of the Vilebloods?

@b82REZ the chalices dungeons are hard as fcuk though.

I did one. Found it well easy. Going to go back to them after I finish the story.

The first two I breezed through, was beating bosses with 3-4 hit combos. Now the difficulty on the third one is gone though the roof, almost being one hit killed by the second boss. :(

You can get them from killing other hunters in PVP.

That ...... makes a lot of sense considering what you've "become" so to speak.

I would assume that's to encourage multiplayer.

Also does the Nightmare frontier serve any purpose other than being annoying as feck?

Optional boss at the end. Beware of rock throwing giants.

I'm well aware of those cnuts. It's the poison lakes and squid things that tend to feck me up the most.

I've just sacked that area off for now. Returning to the Unseen Village requires all my attention for the time being.

the daughter of the cosmos in isz chalice layer 3 is kicking my ass. She takes no damage whatsoever

What do I do for Rom's stupid attack when his health is nearly gone? At first it's not problem getting alongside him to attack but then he does that thing where he launches blue diamond shit from the sky and if I get close to him he body slams and if you're anywhere near him you go flying. Plus you've got the baby spiders sicking up all over you and attacking you.

Just get in and out for 2 or 3 attacks and keep moving. He's annoying at first but when you learn his attacks it's not so bad. Ignore the spiders but obviously try to keep away from them.

His AOE attacks seem really unfair. He was the one boss after Gazza I really struggled with, mainly because they seems to be no guaranteed way to avoid his magic attacks.

The times I got closest (and when I eventually beat him) was when he respawned close to me so I could close down the space before he used magic. I don't know if that's guaranteed but he certainly used the bolts a lot less.

With most bosses they only have close and long range attacks so if you stand somewhere inbetween they tend to be easier to beat as you avoid attacks easier. Baiting their long range attacks usually affords you a few seconds to beat down.

I did it by first focusing on the small ones (using tonitrus (sp?) and hitting them from the side, they die really quickly), then once I killed all the adds I was able to get his health to about 60% before he teleports. Then the same thing another 2 times, with a lot more running (you can see where the AOE attack will land a second or so before it does - there's a blueish area in the water).

But yeah, I agree with b82, it's probably the toughest boss since Gazza.

Nightmare of Mensis can fcuk off for now. When I get to the hunter I have like one vial left.

Micolash. So close.

Jesus christ. Father Gascoignes final form can feck off. I just can't beat him, the cnut just combos me from full health to death.

Try using an oil urn first, and only then molotovs.

I got to Rom last night, think I can take him out in the next session. I've got him into his final phase a few times and its just my impatience thats getting me into trouble. I've been employing a tactic of taking out all the minion spiders in the first phase as like Rom, once you get them side on its piss easy to obliterate them, the second phase is trickier as he does those blue diamond rockets, I can take out a good lot of the minions as the opportunity arises so that during the last phase its not as crowded when I have to try and avoid him spazzing out when I get near.

I had to take a detour just when id figured him out though to collect blood vials and echoes to stock up. But as usual when you think you're awesome in this game it puts you in your place & I ended up getting sent to the Unknown Prison again by one of those feckin soul sucking santa's. I figured I could get a lot of echoes and nice item drops here so carefully went about getting the enemies one on one & got some good stuff then got chased by a pretty agressive pig and some dogs, managed to take out the dogs, then the pig and picked up that Electric Mace weapon as I was running away from things si declared my forray a 'win' & headed back to the lamp. Gonna try that mace out on Rom tonight and see how he likes it.

Looks like Isz Chalice (depth 5) layer 3 Ebrietas is the first boss I'm not able to solo. Which sucks because I dont think I can summon people to help, or at least it doesnt seem to be working

She turns around a lot more than the optional fight with her in story mode and has a huge amount of life. And her arcane magic one shots

Ignore the spiders.

The mace will have little affect on him because it's a bolt weapon and he's resistant against bolt attacks iirc.

I tried ignoring them at first but by the end there's just too many and I always get jumped by a few while I get a few hits in on Rom before I have time to flee, I can get all the first bunch killed without taking any hits fairly easily so maybe i'll just do those then concentrate on Rom.

So I found Vicar Amillia shes tough does a lot of damage. Should I skip her and head to the Witch of Hemwick or attempt to beat the boss at Yahar'gul?

Anyway, I found a secret area and this was there;

WTF?

Sorry about the horrible Twitter compression, think I'll buy a capture card.

Fought through the forbidden woods and opened up both big short cuts. Next stop is taking on the Shadow of Yarnham. I have watched a few videos of the fight and doesn't look easy. Anybody got any decent tips for taking them on? I'm currently at level 53 with vitality 27, Endurance 26 and Physical 24 with a Ludwig blade so I think I will be able to take a few hits and dish some damage out.

Is there a list floating about? I heard something about
Mother's Brain
but I've no idea where it is.
Did you find the blood rock yet? The thing that falls when you pull that lever is that brain and you just have to find an elevator going down to the bottom. But go on the wikidot or the fextralife or whatever for blood borne and they have overviews how to find everything and stuff like that.

Yeah, thanks, I've been reading about it. You use the bird cage lift and jump out, through a window. Think this the my last optional/secret area.
Unfortunately I only have two umbilical chords so I won't get the "real ending".

Personally I found taking out the balls of flame dude first is the way to go, others have said taking out the sword guy first worked for them though

I didn't find it very hard. Some people say you should lower all their health bars but hold off killing them until they're all very low health because the others will become stronger when you kill one. That didn't work out for me - I couldn't handle all three of them at the same time so I just hacked away and killed them one by one without thinking about who I killed first. To my surprise, it worked out fine. The third-easiest boss fight I've had so far after the witches and Cleric.

I just beat Amygdala. Wasted 19 Vials on her one time only to get killed when her health bar was very low but then finally did it on my sixth or seventh attempt. Now for that Rom spider.

The Yahar'gul boss is harder than Vicar Amelia so go for the witches first. Some Molotov Cocktails will help with Amelia.
