Just asking where was Blanc during the goal?????
After all he is the experienced leader isnt it.
And btw goals were fatal last season and are fatal now because it means that it will give Arsenal more chance to strenghten thier position as leaders of the league.
Remeber a goal can mean drawing or losing a game

Experienced leader, yada, yada, he is one of four defenders. The great Nesta made an error that cost Italy a goal against Yugoslavia. a world class player at the peak of his power.
Ofcource all goals are fatal, last season and this. Doesn't mean it's all Blanc's fault.

Blanc came to OT when Inter no longer wanted him and United did. Doesn't mean no one wanted him. You can bet your life he would easily have founed a good club, even if not a top one.
2. Let's say he did say no. So what? Every player's dream has to be to play for United or in England? He didn't before, he does now. Thats fine.
All and all, what you are basically doing is bad mouthing the manager. He brought Blanc, he made him a regular first team player a second season in a row.
Do you understand football better than the manager?

believe me, he came at OT when he couldnt find any club and only when Cuper confirmed that Blanc is only a reserve.( I have seen it on the italian media)
BTW last season Inter had a better defense than when they had Blanc
We may argue whether he is still good enough or not But HE IS DEFINATELY A MERCENARY. who came to OT just to lenghten his carrier

Fine. So Blanc refused us. So? Saying he couldn't find a club last year is nonsence. At worse, he could always return to France where they'd be plenty of clubs who'd want him. But Inter released him on a free because United wanted to take him, not for the sake of letting him go.
Yes, Inter defence improved last season. So did their entire bloody team. So? It's all because Blanc left?
Look, I'm not having this anymore. You haven't a clue about football and I hope Sir Alex doesn't get too upset with me stealing his lines but Blanc is a f*ck*ing great player.
And if you can't realise that, well, though.

Funny that useless Fergie hasn't picked up on that a year on.

devilish, you are getting very annoying. it has been obvious from everything you said that you haven't ever seen blanc play in the flesh.
how well or otherwise he played at Inter is beside the point -- he has been excellent for us since he settled into the team. this year, he has been absolutely brilliant -- as you would know, if you had ever seen him play.
as for your comments about amir "not shooting you"... you should keep your mouth shut, as you are showing what an ignorant fool you are.
enough of this moron.

Everyone makes mistakes. I wouldn't say Blanc was one though. I feel some people may only learn to appreciate him when he's actually gone.
If I could turn the clock back to summer 96 I'd still buy Cruyff and Poborsky. We payed 4.5 combined for two very talented players. Poborsky didn't fit into English football and couldn't keep Beckham out of the lineup, while Cruyff suffered from a series of injuries, but on another time, both could have ended up as bargains.

agreed. Poborsky was unlucky in that at the time Beckham was starting to emerge on the scene. he was certainly no worse than Forlan who has received a lot more support from the fans that Pob did.
Cruyff was unlucky with injuries. On the occasions he did play for us he didnt let us down. even scored a few important goals along the way. I think he proved himself last season in what he is capable off for his Spanish team on the way to the final.

Blanc has done his job and more. He's scored more than Stam, and in vital situations too. And I can't say it enough, do you think John O'Shea's emergence has nothing to do with the fact that Blanc is at Old Trafford?

The contribution of Blanc and Stam can't be compared in this instance. Stam didn't score so many goals, but he looked much much more solid in defence. Even more than I feel Rio can be over the next few years.
Rio is several years behind Stam, but believe me, Blanc is several years past Stam. Blanc is getting slower by the minute.
He's a great player in his own position, but I don't feel he provides enough confidence for the attacking team that "hey it's ok, we won't lose goals tonight".
Blanc has several good games for us and I believe this could be a year for him, but no, he won't be as successful as Stam was for us.

Devillish,
Blanc has got the technical skills enough to get him by. Look, we have conceded very few goals this season. Last season we lost to so many crazy goals because of Barthez, Brown, Veron, Gaz and a few others... it wasn't only Blanc. He was in his first year and I'd say he did a much better job than Veron did.
Look, keane is not playing and as i have note, we haven't lost a game. In fact, we're already on a 6-game winning streak.
So I remain firm on my remarks, I think it's because Keane has gone bonkers that's why we weren't performing.
O'Shea will difinitely overtake Blanc one day but he dosn't have enough experience. He's not going to be able to play 60 games a season. I agree Blanc will not be able to either, but both of them can provide United with what they're good at and right now with our limited options, Blanc would be first choice whenever he's fit.

What about the Leeds game.

What about the Leeds game.

Ok, here's how I would explain it.
1. We were missing our captain, things were going hectic. We lost 2 games on the trot, one against Bolton, the other against Leeds. Not a surprise, since then we've been performing very strongly.
2. If you watch the tape of the game, you'll find that Leeds put up a great play for the goal scored. Neither Blanc NOR FERDIDNAND was present around Kewell. No other player in the team could do anything about it. It was a perfect goal scored.
Come on, other people have made much more mistakes. Look at Seaman making all his blunders - is he still not a good keeper Canadian Dee?
