Matuidi was a beast 2 seasons ago. If he can find that form back for 2-3 years here, he would boss the league
Don't they have the same agent, so not likely.Don't believe this rumour at all. More than likely noise just to scare Pogba into making a decision.

He showed plenty of signs at Southampton. He deserves a clean slate after playing under such a rigid system under LVG.
I would personally prefer if we now went for players in a 23-26 age range.
Different club, different expectations.
Schniderlin has been below expectations in every game he has played. All of it cant be blamed on the manager and the system. I was a big Schniderlin fan and was gassed with him joining us, but its clear he is not the man our midfield needs.
He was one of the best midfielders in the league. That doesn't get ignored after one season.
Bit like Matic - terrible last year but the jury is still out on him.
How is his contract situation? Is he not angling for a new contract?
No, he has renewed his contract last summer. End of contract: 2018.
He can't have a pay rise given his current salary.
I've seen him play quite a bit due to PSG having two of my favourite players in Pastore and Verratti, so I'm always on the look out for PSG matches I can watch. He's just never stood out to me, and it's not like he has much competition in France. Toulalan and Diarra are just two players off the top of my head I'd have above him from france. He's like a less effective Owen Hargreaves and I think we have better options than him currently for the role he'd most likely play at the club.I don't think you've seen him play.
I think it was hard to respect your opinion when you said you'd rather fellaini over matuidi but each to their own my friendI've seen him play quite a bit due to PSG having two of my favourite players in Pastore and Verratti, so I'm always on the look out for PSG matches I can watch. Ha, I can understand that! I'm by no means a fan of Fellaini's style of play and I personally hope we sell him this window but I do prefer him to Matuidi.I think it was hard to respect your opinion when you said you'd rather fellaini over matuidi but each to their own my friend

Did he think Pogba at 18 was good enough to play ahead of Park and Rafael in central midfield in that Blackburn game?
Matuidi is not a bad player, but If we consider that other clubs have signed players like Gundogan, Pjanic, Renato Sanches, Krychowiak, etc; we could aim higher than Matuidi.Jesus, matuidi isn't half as bad as people are making out here you'd think we were close to signing Lee cattermole or something.
Yes it's a come down from pogba but it's still not a bad option at all.
I don't think either should be considered as starters for us but in the role they'd most likely play in the team (a box to box midfielder) I think Fellaini would offer a lot more than Matuidi would. Are you serious?
Why??

He obviously didn't think so, but he didn't mind bringing them young and then selling them as they passed their peak. Ince,27. Hughes,30. Kanchelskis, 26. Beckham, 28. Van Nistelrooy, 30.Did he think Pogba at 18 was good enough to play ahead of Park and Rafael in central midfield in that Blackburn game?
I know, I know.... but there's nothing about Matuidi that makes me think he'd be a worthwhile signing. I mean, I don't even think he's that good at breaking up play as well. With PSG having usually dominating possession, Silva sometimes steps into the midfield to win the ball back the majority of the time the opposition are on the break making his job a whole lot easier.
If we do sign him, I hope I've just not seen him at his best and he comes in and becomes a rock for us, but, at the moment, that's my opinion of him.
Blaise Matuidi is waiting for offers from the Premier League
PSG central midfielder Blaise Matuidi is currently waiting for Premier League offers, but has yet to receive a single concrete one, according to Le Parisien.
The player at the time of writing is officially counting on staying at PSG next season, even if unofficially he knows that his time could be up, having heard the rumours that suggest that Unai Emery is not counting on him next season.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City are the only sides that he is interested in who play in the Premier League.
How reliable are Le Parisien?
i have to say the reports of him having a medical at the French training ground make no sense. If I (or anyone with any logic or sense) was in charge of the French national team and a club came to do a medical on a player I would tell them where to go. Not ideal preparation and could increase the chance of an injury.
Player gets injured in training-fine it happens. Player on international duty gets injured doing a medical for a club-idiotic.
Plus France could be out tomorrow night so let him do the medical Friday morning on his own time.
It just doesn't make sense.
In France, let's say you only have 2 reliable sources of information regarding PSG: L équipe & Le Parisien.
Matuidi has to prepare a game against Germany: so he can't be involved in negociations.
IMHO, it means Raiola is creating an artificial buzz to make things happen because he hasn't denied the 'so-called meeting with United'.

I agree. It doesn't have to be a Pogba-esque superstar signing at all; just someone who will improve the team. Or, a player like a Herrera or Schneiderlin to be given the chance to step up.Mourinho has made 3 very good signings, but? I just hope Mourinho is not going for a player we want, than the player we need. He needs to scout a bit better than Matuidi, for the level Jose Mourinho wants to get to, signing Matuidi I can see add more pile to the scrap heap, if we add mata, fellaini, bastian, young, possibly Herrera, memphis and morgan, and a few more. Jose needs to get the 4th signing right, because Matuidi is not what will solve our engine room problems. I would rather Jose Mourinho scout more and get that right no8, and not a underwhelming signing like Matuidi, not convinced we will get Pogba at all
