Berbatov

Currently, the COYS~ITK's claim that Spurs will sign three STs (Russians & Klaas) and two DMs (One being Veloso)...all before the deadline day.

Evidently, Bent is headed to Everton.

Huntelaar?
Arshavin?

This Berbatov to Madrid link has only ever been mentioned by paranoid caftards, specifically someone whose "ITK" contributions to this thread have, so far, been very wide of the mark.

The reason I'm asking the question is because I'm wondering when "ITK" stops and "WUM" begins.

The only Spanish club I've read being linked seriously with Berbatov was Barcelona - Madrid are being linked with everyone, it's like wading through spam.

At the risk of taking this thread dangerously back on topic, where will he fit into our wage structure will he fit in if he signs? Will he be in or around Rio/Ronaldo, or more likely just behind in the Scholes/Giggs bracket? I would guess the latter but with the amount of money involved, I have no doubt his agent will be pitching pretty high. Either way he'll be able to stop buying generic brand squirrel food.

If you mean me, I have maintained all along that the deal for Berbatov would go through provided Spurs sign a replacement/replacements.

That is what my friend told me and I believe him, hence why I signed up with my name.

None have yet materialised, but Pavlychenko is obviously close. Whether it is enough to allow Berbatovs release remains to be seen.

Ultimately, until the players name is on a Manchester United contract, anything can happen.

My information has not been wide of the mark, unless you tend to believe what you read in the papers, which usually is wide of the mark.

Madrid showing an interest in Berbatov is a real possibility, but paranoia is getting the better of me at the moment.

Wasn't it you that came up with all that stuff about Maurice Watkins hot-footing it into Old Trafford, a couple of weeks back?

If not, apologies.

Been following Redcafe berbatov thread, here you go:

(Update 362) Ari Gold on various bitz n pieces

Berba: His agent was given the greenlight to negotiate with United at the start of the week. The talk is that a fee is agreed, along the lines of 15 million upfront and 13 over the next two years. There are add-ons, which will be spread across his four year contract. Deal is for around 90,000 a week, but Spurs won't allow a medical or his registration to be released until at least one striker signs.

There's already a whole thread dedicated to that gimp, Ari Gold.

Mind you, any fan of Entourage can't be all bad.

Which reminds me, did that link work for you?

Went on holliers before I could check it. West Cork baby (as Turtle might - almost - say)

Was planning on unleashing the latest link on my other half at about the same time I announce I'll be watching a game of footy on a Friday night. Which means you might have actually saved me from physical harm. Nice work.

End of thread. this guy is the real deal. totally wasted at spurs..who beyond keane, woodgate, king and one or two others do not have the players to help this potential great shine.
