Tevez is wasted on the left Rob.

Nani, Giggs or Ronaldo on the left wing.

I think that's a bit too strong Sults - whilst the left is not his optimal position you'd still get a lot out of him there and the overall line-up should do well.

Mind you, I can see a case for him being stationed on the right instead to encourage him to go outside players instead of cutting inside from the left & shooting like vs West ham. :)

We seem to be a little bit closer to getting Berba, but the end of transfer window is also comming closer. He sulked and was excluded from the last game which has fueled speculation of an imminent bid from our side of 25m.

If he was from Malaysia he would have instantly recognized the hypnotizing aroma of a Ramliberber and perhaps made some substitution of contents in the protective area of his postal vehicle.
There's been a spate of Ramli-subs in the last few weeks. And this just in on the postman watch........

Keane offers Ramos blunt Berbatov advice.

Roy Keane offered a blunt solution to Dimitar Berbatov's transfer saga after Sunderland ensured Tottenham's start to the season hit a new low: 'I'd drive him wherever he wants to go.'

Berbatov was left out of Juande Ramos' squad after being accused of being unfocused and having a negative effect on the dressing room as he looks for a transfer to Manchester United from White Hart Lane.

At the moment Keane has players hungry for success - shown by Djibril Cisse scoring the winner on his debut - but he knows what his reaction will be if they are distracted by other clubs.

'If a player didn't want to play for me, I know what I'd do - I'd drive him myself to wherever he wants to go,' said the Sunderland boss. 'I've said it before, no player is bigger than any club.

'Sometimes you have to lose to win - Tottenham have lost against Sunderland but long-term it might be best for the business.

'I had a player two years ago when I got my job, I heard he had been speaking to another club within a week or two and I just sold him. And off he popped.'

There are unlikely to be many players wanting to leave while Sunderland continue to impress and Keane's reputation grows.

Keane joked he was the reason Cisse signed on a season loan, although it was something the France striker admitted was true. The 27-year-old is now targeting a permanent contract.

'I want to do my best and try to make it permanent,' he said.

'I had a few options but I chose Sunderland because of the manager. The club have big ambitions and really good players.

'Nobody expects Sunderland to be a good team but I know the boys now and really want to show we're a good team and do well. We can surprise a lot of teams like we did against Spurs.'

Ramos has blamed Berbatov for another poor start to the season for Spurs, with the result meaning they start their campaign as they did a year ago, with two defeats.

'Of course there are repercussions on the players, against Sunderland for example we were only able to play with one forward and we didn't have any substitutes for that one forward,' said Ramos. 'It's bound to have repercussions on the players.

'Players go through physical fitness issues that are good or bad, and this is a psychological issue. We've just got to deal with it.'

In contrast, defender Jonathan Woodgate believes players need to take responsibility.

Woodgate said: 'What because we've lost a couple of games it's Berba's fault? No, that's a load of bull. We've lost the two games because we haven't played well. It's got nothing to do with him.

'The football club's bigger than one player at the end of the day. I don't feel it's been disruptive. The manager makes the decisions.

'Now we'll have to put on a good performance against Chelsea or they'll wipe the floor with us.'

Spurs are ideally looking to bring in another forward before allowing Berbatov to leave.

'That's what we are looking for, we want to have the best centre-forwards we possibly can,' Ramos said.

With Darren Bent toiling on his own up front, Spurs struggled against Keane's men and fell behind to a Kieran Richardson rocket. The midfielder got a kick in the ribs and was taken off but the injury is not thought to be serious.

Jermaine Jenas tapped in an equaliser but Cisse had the last word with his header seven minutes from full-time.

Keano's still a united legend

Looks like berba's on his way, sooner or later, what with juande blaming him for the loss and all

I see, thanks. I still have the feeling Levy is hiding somewhere, ignoring what is happening.

Apparently, Arshavin is not in the squad.

Ramos blames Berba for slump

Juande Ramos believes Tottenham's slow start to the season is a direct result of outside interferences.

Spurs have suffered back-to-back defeats at the start of the new Premier League campaign, making a mockery of those who expected the North London club to mount a top four challenge.

It is still early days, but the speculation surrounding star striker Dimitar Berbatov's future appears to have disrupted the squad.

The Bulgarian continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United, and Ramos believes the ongoing saga has caused his players to lose focus at a crucial time.

Problem
"Of course there are repercussions on the players, against Sunderland (2-1 defeat on Saturday) for example we were only able to play with one forward and we didn't have any substitutes for that one forward," said Ramos.

"It's bound to have repercussions on the players.

"Players go through physical fitness issues that are good or bad, and this is a psychological issue. We've just got to deal with it."

However, in another example of how Tottenham appear to be divided at present, Jonathan Woodgate refused to agree with his manager's comments.

Disruptive
The England international says the players who take to the field must shoulder the blame for the poor start, and avoid making lame excuses.

"What because we've lost a couple of games it's Berba's fault? No, that's a load of bull," said the centre-half.

"We've lost the two games because we haven't played well. It's got nothing to do with him.

"The football club's bigger than one player at the end of the day. I don't feel it's been disruptive. The manager makes the decisions.

"Now we'll have to put on a good performance against Chelsea (next Sunday) or they'll wipe the floor with us."

Taxi for Dimi

JUANDE RAMOS has told Spurs owner Daniel Levy to end his feud with Manchester United and sell Dimitar Berbatov to them this week.

Ramos is desperate to seal a £25million deal for wantaway Berba before the transfer window closes next Monday.

And the White Hart Lane boss fears Levy’s running row with United chief Alex Ferguson could wreck his plans to get rid of the Bulgarian and replace him with Ajax skipper Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Ramos has decided there is no way back for Berbatov, 27, after showdown talks between the manager, board members and the sulking striker yesterday.

The player was last night fined a week’s wages — around £45,000 — for not being ready to play in Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat by Sunderland.

And Berba once again made it clear he wants to leave Tottenham and move to Old Trafford.

But United will only sign Berbatov if Levy withdraws his official complaint to the Premier League accusing the champions of making an illegal approach.

Spurs insist there has been no new bid from United since their £20m offer was rejected last month.

But United have made it clear they are willing to go to £25m for the former Bayer Leverkusen star.

They are also ready to hand him a four-year deal worth £90,000 a week.

Berbatov was left out of Saturday’s game because Ramos declared the player was not focused and was disrupting the rest of the dressing room. Now the Spaniard wants an end to the long-running saga. He said: “We need to get this matter resolved before the transfer deadline.

“If Berbatov goes, we will need time to sign a replacement. We want to have the best centre-forward we can possibly get.

“This is the first time I have faced this problem as a coach and the truth is I have found it a conflicting situation to be in.

“Of course, what has happened has had repercussions on the team and our results.

“Against Sunderland, for instance, we were only able to play with one forward and we didn’t have any substitutes for that player.

“Players go through physical problems all the time but in this case it’s a psychological issue which we have to deal with.

“If Berbatov works well during the week, maybe he will be able to play in our next game. If not, he won’t.

“But we cannot make that decision now. We can only decide that on the eve of the game.”

Ramos hopes it will not go that far and wants Berbatov out of the club as quickly as possible.

The former Sevilla coach has already identified Dutch international Huntelaar as the ideal replacement and believes he can push through a £20m deal this week.

But Spurs also refuse to rule out a possible £10m move for England and Wigan striker Emile Heskey if Berbatov goes in the next few days.

Haha Ramos is pissed at Levy, he is right what is Levy's problem with United, if anything they should have tried to keep Keane, as Berbatov was always gonna be a sulk if he didnt get his move, I doubt Keane would wreck his repuation with Spurs fans where as Bebragod could give a shit left
