OK, I'll take your word for it.
That puts Manutd.com in a bad light and the reporter that asked the question hasn't even reported it.

More sites will probably have it tomorrow I'm sure.

You see, the full Press Conference isn't shown on MUTV until 10.30pm on a Friday. That's maybe a reason why manutd.com held it back, and why other sites haven't picked up on it yet.

That said, all the journalists at the conference would have had the news, so I'd be very surprised if some of the mornings papers didn't give it a mention. That;s ofcourse if they themselves considered it worth writing, as they see more interested in who Feguson is going to bring in moreso than anything else.

Currently in the ER might be have surgery later, what's the latest

So are you saying Sky has to check in with Manutd.com before posting a story?

Sky Sports News probably got the information off James Cooper (Sky Reporter), who was at the Press conference.

What are you doing in the ER?
Manucho apparently has been awarded a work permit, as well as this story.

Ramos set to hold talks with wantaway Berbatov

Wantaway Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov is set for showdown talk with manager Juande Ramos on Friday ahead of the club's first home game of the season against Sunderland.

The Bulgarian international handed in a transfer request prior to the start of the campaign in order to force through his desired move to Manchester United. That led to him being on the bench at Middlesbrough for the opener and Ramos must now decide whether to use the striker at all this weekend.

Berbatov has been criticised for his attitude after replacing Giovanni Dos Santos in the 65th minute of the 2-1 defeat at the Riverside with many now feeling he is a divisive influence in the dressing room.

The 27-year-old is sure to feel the wrath of the White Hart Lane faithful if he does feature but with just ten days left until the transfer window closes, at least the London club know the speculation cannot continue much longer.

'Tottenham fans are no exception to any others - they support the team and get behind the side,' said Ramos. 'If a player is on form, if he knocks in a couple of goals, then I'm sure anyone who booed him last week will soon be getting behind him and cheering him. That is what it is like.

'While he is still here, he is very much 100 percent a Tottenham player - that is how we consider things. It is not a case of finding a solution to a problem before it occurs.'

One of the problems Spurs face is the limited timescale in which to replace a player who has scored 27 Premier League goals in 63 starts since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen two years ago - especially as they are still to bring in a new face following the sale of Robbie Keane to Liverpool.

With Russian strike duo Andrei Arshavin and Roman Pavlyuchenko now seemingly out of the picture, the north London outfit are now being linked with La Liga stars Diego Forlan and Luis Fabiano.

'We've got a list of targets that we are working very hard on,' Ramos continued. 'Negotiations are tough and sometimes they are even tougher than usual. We know what we are working towards and we know what our objectives are.

'The process of signing players sometimes takes time, but fans should be aware we are trying to strengthen up front and sign a new forward. Quite often these things take time.' Ramos is also in the market for a defender and was close to signing Vedran Corluka from Manchester City before that deal collapsed.

'It's true to say we have one or two areas that we need to look at defensively and maybe solve a few problems at the back,' Ramos added.

All official announcements, including Fergies Interviews and player interviews come thro them first. Others like Sky get it from them and the news conferences. Of course journos have other ways of getting the news that they want but the official site is normally the first to CONFIRM any United news.

Similar to their confirmation of signing Ramsey

Fergie Playing Games Or Is Tottenham Berbatov Deal Off?

Dimitar_Berbatov_Rio_Ferdinand_628542.jpg

Sir Alex Ferguson hasn’t mentioned Dimitar Berbatov’s name, for fear of incurring the wrath of Daniel Levy, however has suggested the deal could be off.
“I’m feeling less optimistic right now,” said Ferguson. “We are looking at something, but if it doesn’t come off then we will carry on as we are.”
Does this mean the deal is off or is Fergie just playing hard to get?

Berbatov has almost made his situation at Spurs untenable, with his persistent comments about wanting to leave as well his recent United shirt signing stunt (which RoM readers are currently split over).
Spurs lost their opening game of the season with Berbatov featuring for just 25 minutes, with Darren Bent playing as Spurs’ only striker, and their goal coming from the head of opposition defender Robert Huth.
With limited striking options, after selling Robbie Keane to the ‘disgraceful’ Liverpool, Spurs are in a bit of a tricky situation. Do they keep a player who is desperate to leave and who isn’t afraid to throw a temper tantrum? Or do they sell him on to a club even if their financial evaluation hasn’t been met?
There is just a week remaining until the transfer window closes, meaning if Spurs were to sell, they would be short on time finding a replacement. They have been linked with Diego Forlan, who had a poor stint in the Premiership with United before making a success of his career in Spain, although no doubt Atletico Madrid will want big money for the striker they spent £16 million on a year ago, scoring 23 goals last season.
Ferguson could be expressing his doubt over a deal to put Spurs on their toes, who I imagine must be pretty keen to get rid of Berbatov if the price is right, or it could be a genuine concern from our manager, who sees our chances of signing the Bulgarian slipping away.

Doesn't really give an opinion on anything but lays out the cards.

Check out if any one in the ER has any ITK

Berbatov was actually in the ER, seems he went on quite the bender last night to celebrate the fact that his move to OT looks to be a certainty now. Took couple of stitches in the face, but what can you say the man is beautiful:lol:

Side note- I have been given lots of pills, maybe surgery next week, knowing myself I'll probably be better by then
