Berbatov

If i was fergie, i would pay £15 mil for santa cruz. He's great in the air and holds the ball up well and fits our style of play. We have money in tha bank if we need it for the january transfer window. Then spurs are up shit street with a player that doesnt want to play with them! That would teach them to be greedy.

Blackburn do not want to sell, which means that to get him we'd probably end up having to pay £20+ million for him.

In which case we may as well pay a bit extra and get our primary target.

This whole story is tiring. Wish we would just sign him, if we plan to. If not, sign whoever else we plan to. I know we have until 1st Sept to, but the seasons started, and we are a little short on players at the moment.

Im going to Berbon up my coffee.

Forget Santa Claus. He doesn't exist. Fergie has his mind set on one target, and one target alone. If he doesn't land Berba he'll not go for anyone else this transfer window.

Yes, well, we were in talks with the club if I remember correctly. But Spurs offered everything he and the club wanted upfront or something?

Wasn't we close to signing Berbatov before he moved to Spurs?

Yes. Maybe the signing of Djemba, Kleberson and Bellion has caused United to become too careful. Maybe Spurs have promised a lot of things to Berbo to hasten his signature. But the fact is Ruud's relationship with the Gaffer has broken down.

we better get him fast..

when is tevez expected to return and why aren't we selling that twat saha

Dude you mustn't speak that way about Saha on here. Too many he is a God like figure that when fit is the greatest striker in the history of forever!

When fit and on form, Saha is undeniably a brilliant striker. However, this has not happened for a season and a half.

its absurd how cam some remain injured for so long and then recover to play 10 minutes in a couple of games and then get injured again. this cycle never seems to end and the only solution is to sell him.

Couldn't agree more mate. My patience with Saha ran out along fecking time ago. Waste of space.

Everytime that I look at Berbatov
I can’t help thinking Ferguson should have
Louis is gone
Broken down bone after bone
We have got to pay
If we want to prise Dimi Berbatov away

I know what Fergie knows
Berba will come from where Ronaldo goes
I know its everybodys sin
Dreaming under contract is how you gonna win

He was playing for Bayer for ages
but we had RVN in those stages
Now we know its true
Berba is red through and through

Listen Fergie, time for giant bids
Grab Gill by the balls and go and meet them Yids,
Sign Berba, make it today
Maybe tomorrow, next we go to Pompey away
(x2)

Dream on, dream on
Dream yourself that move comes through
Dream on, dream on
Dream until your dream come true
Dream on, dream on, dream on...

Genius.

Spurs set to hold out on Dimi deal
Tottenham appear in no hurry to force a deal with Manchester United for Dimitar Berbatov despite the striker making a formal transfer request.

It is understood that Berbatov handed in his request on Friday to sporting director Damien Comolli and chairman Daniel Levy, the day before he was named on the bench in the 2-1 Premier League defeat at Middlesbrough.

Earlier in the summer, Levy feared Berbatov would have a negative influence on the dressing room after making it clear he wanted to leave for Manchester United.

United had a bid of £20.5million rejected last month and have not made another formal offer, although Tottenham have insisted they do not want to sell.

However, the transfer saga has entered a crucial stage following Berbatov's request, followed by comments on his arrival for international duty with Bulgaria.

"I'm now in Tottenham but no-one can disagree with me wanting to follow my dream," said Berbatov, who told reporters he wanted everything sorted by the end of the week. Tottenham's stance means that is unlikely to happen.

The 27-year-old, as captain of Bulgaria, was expected to fulfil media duties ahead of the friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday but did not face the cameras.

Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev said: "We have two more weeks until the end of the transfer window and I think this will be the most important week. I read Alex Ferguson's statement that he wants another striker and I hope that this striker is Dimitar Berbatov."

The player himself, meanwhile, has already started steeping himself in United folklore after he took his demotion to the bench with noticeable frustration.

"If I had been laughing when I was on the bench, people would say I was an idiot," he said.

"Eric Cantona never smiled, but I don't know if anyone ever asked him why he didn't look happier."
