Berbatov

You don't rate Berbatov, we get it.

Why do people have to be such retards about new signings. Yes, people are entitled to their opinions - at the time I wasn't confident about the signing of Tevez - but I didn't once post a bad thing about the signing. What does it achieve apart from getting yourself all worked up? Why do you have to act like such a retard and start saying he's not as good as so and so? Soon he'll be ours, so get used to it or shut the feck up.

All that stuff through the week through all the papers about his immanent arrival was all bollocks.
No quotes at all and it seems nothing at all has changed in this sorry saga. spurs dont want to sell him and think given a bit more time he will be happy to remain. its too late to sign anyone else now and im so fecked off with all this shit, why did we wait for the euros to come and go? berba wasnt even playing.

Worst close season ever.

!!!!

I just watched the managers club interview on MUTV, and I must say he looked alot happier than he did in the open press conference.

When asked was there any update on transfers he said..."No, we're working on something, you know, ahh, hoping that something happens, trying hard as a matter, how long it takes I suppose, we have up to the deadline. We are trying something new, so hopefully we can get some progress on that".

He was being very careful with his words.

this suggests that weve given up on berbatov and are trying for someone else.
United are obviously fed up with spurs over pricing their player who is worth no more than 24m when you take everything into account. not 30-32+m.
28m for a 27.5 year old is too expensive aswell.

Think drogba was 24m at the same age for chelsea. so i think that wouldve been a fair price. not sure who else we could go for now. think its too late for anyone now, weve had 3 months to find a striker and weve failed. we havent even got manucho.

(It would be funny if we could hijack robinho from chelseas approaches. hes probably younger better and cheaper than berbatov. but he, probably like everyone else doesnt want to come to the european champions)

You didn't read what I posted after that.......

and before anyone thinks we're looking at a different option than Berbatov when Fergie said "we're looking at something new"....what he meant by that is they are looking at a new player, i.e. just a new signing.

He also confirmed that Manucho has a metatarsal injury. There wasn't a 100% official confirmation on that up to now, only what we read in the papers.

Oh dear. Tell me, is that solely based on his performances in Euro 2008? Or do you follow his progress for Spartak Moscow?
I've watched him play for Russia in the Euro 2008 qualifiers and have seen him play for Spartak aswell. Brilliant player

He really isn't the type of player we're currently looking to sign.

Having said that, I hope Chelsea don't get him.

Arrrgghhh!

What is it with this thread and all the staggering stupidity!?

Ok. Enough. I need a break.

Cheerio y'all.

Bryan Robson is in the MUTV studio tonight and he openly said the club had made a bid for Berbatov and was talking like he was the one that would be arriving, without actually saying it, if you know what I mean.

He'd have a fair bit of knowledge around the club too.

Can any one tell me how Berbatov is better than Pav?

First touch, finishing, vision, pasing, heading, playing as a target man, playing as a link man are all things he excels at. There are some things that he can do with the ball that people can't even imagine.

Pavlyuchenko is just you average big, strong, hard-working striker with a bit of pace, he's not even a great finisher.

Precisely. Probably would have been on the bench in the Euro's if Pogrebynak wasn't injured.

I guess that means we should be signing him too?

Of course, once we sign Villa and Amauri first.

Pavlyuchenko - Needs 15 good chances before he manages to stick one away.

Amauri would have been my 1st choice but sadly Juve got him for around 15 million euros which is a fecking steal. I am still gutted that they have signed him. We have missed out.

Are you sure about that?

Can someone please tell me what "Greggs" is?

Greggs plc is the UK’s leading baker retailer, specialising in sandwiches, savouries and other baker-fresh food on the go. From humble beginnings as a single bakers shop, we now have over 1,100 Greggs shops throughout the UK. Whilst our shops and products have evolved over time, we have remained loyal in our commitment to provide baker-fresh, quality food on the go.

We serve over 5 million customers each week in our shops. Two thirds of our business is in shop made sandwiches and freshly baked savouries such as pies, pasties and sausage rolls. These lines are complemented by a delicious range of sweet products and a wide range of bread and rolls.

The business has a divisional structure with central bakeries around the country supplying the shops in their surrounding areas. This ensures we have the freshest products and also that regional product tastes can be catered for.

We have eight divisions throughout the UK from Greggs of Scotland, to Greggs South East with branches down to the south coast of England. We have recently expanded into continental Europe with the opening of four branches in Belgium. We do not operate any franchise branches.

There you go.

Berbatov is much better than him. Anyone who has a clue would agree. Besides, Amauri cost 21 million.

The guy is looking to get an italian passport. I don't think he would have come anyway.

Not really sure what the fuss is about. It's already been said Spurs would not let Berbatov go until they've agreed a deal for a replacement. That hasn't happened yet, but it looks as if they are nearing an agreement regarding Arshavin. When that happens, Berbatov will also be moving.

Just came back from playing football. Nothing new again?
It's getting ridiculous now.... he is not worth all that...
