Adeyemi who is more developed left the same club for 30m euros.
Didn't he have only 1 year left on his contract though ? How long does Sesko have left?

3 years, I believe. It was mentioned somewhere early in the media fuss that RB were wanting to sell him next season rather than this one because of that.Didn't he have only 1 year left on his contract though ? How long does Sesko have left?
When did we spend 37m on Amad? Half of his fee were always variables - and he couldn’t achieve them (yet).
United need to learn to walk away from such ridiculous deals. Look at City on how they hold firm on a valuation.Adeyemi who is more developed left the same club for 30m euros.
If we hadn’t heard that we met with his agent last week I wouldn’t believe this. I think it’s true and I’m happy to be in for him. He looks like someone who could easily have a darwin kind of season and be worth a hell of a lot more by the end of the season or else be picked up by a development club and have the same outcome at some point. I worry about a few things. Martial will most likely be worthless again with competition or put on the wing in rotation and the major Ronaldo elephant in the room. If we get rid of Ronaldo then this is the best thing we can do. Thank god we aren’t looking for old cheap options anymore.
Well, last season as a startHeaven know where this ‘Martial cannot cope with competition’ myth comes from, but it persists.

Well we're rich as feck and Dortmund aren't. And maybe we rate this guy as suiting the PL and what we want due to his frame? Adeyemi is a short fecker.Adeyemi who is more developed left the same club for 30m euros.

Feel like we've been saying this for every wunderkind we've signed in the past 10 yearsYeah Im not bothered about the price as we know it definitely has add-ons. He could be great or he could be a flop. We won't know unless we get him.
If another club got him and he turned into a star we would be trying to buy him for 100 million then.
Who the feck cares about the fee. Never ever understood those people.
€50m is hardly "insane", do you not remember how much we paid for Martial all those years ago when market was less inflated even? He was as much proved as a player as Šeško is now.
Except you have no idea what the budget is, or financial considerations forthcoming which could affect it.Who wouldn't care? Let's just sign one player a summer for 150m then, see how far that gets us.
If we only have 120m to spend then it matter to everyone the fees we pay.
Amad played 3 first team games for Atalanta not even a full season, never mind 2.He's played 2 years of professional football.
Sounds like another amad to me.
Think we just have to go of the players that have come from Salzburg have more or less been successes… mane/haaland for example.Martial was more proven, he had more goals in a much stronger league and was one of Monaco's best players when they beat Arsenal in the CL.
Not especially, the reaction as if this is now soon to be a done dealio is odd.Is that source even reliable?
I agree. But many still have the |Not really digging the '/' in the thread titles. Why did we change it from '|' ? That looked way more cleaner.
CAF - We need signings ASAP, we take to long to get deals done. Just pay the price
Also CAF - Wow, he’s so expensive I hope we move on. I’m sure we can find better deals elsewhere.
Martial cannot cope with football half the time.Heaven know where this ‘Martial cannot cope with competition’ myth comes from, but it persists.
Well, last season as a start
How is it a myth?
Exactly.I think there are a large chunk of posters who don't understand football economics.
The value of a player is defined by what another party are willing and able to pay.
Therefore, by definition, when teams like Leicester and Everton are the interested parties, it stands to reason that they negotiate lower fees.
Likewise, if United and Real Madrid are both interested in a player, clearly the fee is going to be much higher.
It's sort of like the value of art. It's only 'worth' what someone will pay.
Summary - it's pointless really comparing what we might spend on a player to what some other club bought Player X for....United tax is very real and makes logical economic sense
And his form went to shit as soon as Alexis signed, although that wasn't only MartialMartial had a bad season when Lukaku came, and another after Ronaldo came, so it seems kinda fair.
