What grinds my gears is the talk that a move for this kid depends on Ronaldo. Feck that. We should be going for him anyway. Wish this club would show some fecking ambition for once and be proactive. Sitting on their hands waiting for de Jong, trying to convince Ronaldo to stay and then planning on reacting when he inevitably pushes for a move again and gets it, waiting 2 months to make a move for Antony at which point his price has doubled. Ridiculous.

I'm more of the SAF mentality regardless. I prefer to stack ourselves with forwards/strikers because you never have enough firepower in front in a long season with injuries always being a risk.

Back on Sesko, what I see of him is like seeing a younger Robert Lewandowski (physique and scoring ability) with more agility and better dribbling. I would take him in a heartbeat if the link is true.
 
Every club wants to run us dry now isn't it what's with all this talk about his club wanting 300m??

Nobody has said that but there’s nothing wrong with being hopeful after the first big board changes in ten years. Better than being miserable like this post.

They haven't delivered at all so far though so I'm not sure why we should hope for any changes to what we've seen the last couple of years. We got players in positions that were no priority at all while still doing feck all for the obvious holes we have in the squad. One of them the striker position which this kid could at least in the future fill. Let's see what we do. I'm not holding my breath.

We’ve got players in positions that were the managers priority- and given it’s his job to manage the team we should trust he has a plan and knows what he’s doing.

No we haven't. His priority was Frenkie and we don't have him yet. He also wanted Antony who looks unlikely as Ajax priced him out after we waited forever to make a move. He's also mentioned repeatedly that he needs more bodies in midfield and up front. We didn't get him that. We got him an Eriksen for free, the sixth CB for an enormous fee and a young LB that will be a squad player next season at best. Brilliant business so far. You guys can take off your red tinted glasses now. This window hasn't been good at all so far. Let's hope it still will.

We need reinforcement in attack. So if not this guy, then someone of similar profile. I think we will get at least one forward in this window. I would love to sign someone who can really contribute in build up play. We have really lacked quality on the ball for far too long.

I'm sorry for spoiling your mood mate. Mine normally doesn't depend on what a football club does. I'm simply giving my opinion on the crappy window United have had so far. You can tell yourself otherwise of course but that would be a bit delusional. Some of you take the criticism towards the club way too personally.

Let's hope so. Even if he isn't completely ready yet I feel like he is one that's worth to invest in. Surely money better spent than 40 mill on Diallo.

No. Especially if go in for him now as long as he's relatively cheap. Also I don't think anybody expects him to be Ronaldo 1997? Are you trying to be a smart ass here for no apparent reason? It's not working mate.

Add Adeyemi to that list as well who just this season went to Dortmund from Salzburg. And I think that's part of the problem. They don't want to lose Sesko as well in the same year they lost Adeyemi.

Unfortunately you’re bang on. I became enlightened this morning after stupidly thinking we actually had a clue what we were doing this summer. Each passing day shows that we don’t.
 
If we don't buy him now, Liverpool or Chelsea will probably pick him up next summer... Klopp looked well impressed with him.

Which we arguably can't compete with for transfers at the moment.

My mood? I’m not even involved in the debate :confused:
I actually agree with you, the window isn’t great so far but add de Jong and a striker and it is. The window isn’t finished yet. We needed a new left back, right back, centre half, midfielder and forward.

Not sure Klopp will go for him when he has Nunez, Diaz, Jota and Salah. I think next summer Liverpool are nailed on to sign Bellingham and I highly doubt they will have enough left after that bit of business to buy anyone of note.

If Chelsea go for him he will join Barcelona.

We need a RW!!! How are people continually missing this out? Greenwood has gone. He needs replacing.
 
So that guy admits that he's never seen him play before and doesn't know anything about the league Sesko plays in.
Then he goes on to repeat 3 scenes of a meaningless friendly until he's sure we need Sesko right now?!

I've seen him play quite enough to be certain he wouldn't be the answer for United right now. A good set of skills and loads of potential for sure, but so have Amad or Pellistri.
There would be the same discussion if we should loan him, because he's not a regular PL starter as of now.
